๐จ OIL APOCALYPSE NOW?!
Brent spiked to $119.50 then crashed to ~$102 - Strait of Hormuz almost shut, NATO shot down Iranian missile over Turkey, Saudis slashing output!
This is either the startโฆ or the end of cheap gas forever. ๐ฅ๐ข๏ธ๐ฅ

@HungaryBased The political sustainability of Ukraine support was always going to depend on Western European living standards. If citizens are being asked to choose between their pension and Kyiv's budget, that's not a values question anymore- it's an arithmetic one.
@HungaryBased Hungary said this in 2022. Then in 2023. Then 2024. Hormuz is now partially closed and Ras Laffan is down. The argument didn't change - the circumstances finally caught up with it.
@HungaryBased Three years after Nord Stream and no official conclusion, no accountability, no consequences. Is it surprising that member states are now using it as a precedent argument? The EU's silence created this.
@TrumpTruthOnX "If Iran's leadership is gone and its military is destroyed, who exactly does the US negotiate with to reopen Hormuz? Because that strait doesn't reopen itself.
@PM_ViktorOrban@ZelenskyyUa If Ukraine is willing to use energy as leverage against EU member states that are legally obligated to support it, what does that say about how Kyiv plans to behave as a future EU member?
@GlobalDiss The EU built its energy transition plan around stable geopolitics and cheap Russian gas. Both assumptions collapsed within 3 years. At what point does the Commission acknowledge the plan needs rebuilding from scratch?
@PM_ViktorOrban Most European governments treat the birth rate as a statistics problem. Hungary is treating it as a policy problem. There's a difference.
@PM_ViktorOrban@ZelenskyyUa@vonderleyen Ukraine rejected a fact-finding mission proposed by two EU member states. If you're not blocking the pipeline for political reasons, why would you refuse independent verification?
@HungaryBased If one pipeline to two member states can paralyze EU foreign policy, what does that say about European energy sovereignty 20 years after it became a stated priority?
@HungaryBased Orbรกn said Nord Stream was a mistake. Brussels ignored him. Orbรกn said sanctions would hurt Europe more than Russia. The data proved him right. At what point does "contrarian" become "accurate"
