Anthropic just dropped Claude Fable 5 and I genuinely wasn't ready for this.

Stripe ran it on a 50 million line codebase.

A 2-month migration for a full engineering team?

Fable 5 did it in ONE day.

But the part nobody's talking about:

Anthropic built hard guardrails INTO the model before releasing it.

Cyber queries → falls back to safer model
Bio/chemistry → same
Data extraction attacks → blocked

They literally said "this is too powerful to release fully" and meant it.

The full version (Mythos 5) is locked to vetted cyber defenders only.

Other wild things it can do:
• Beat Pokémon FireRed with vision alone. No tools. No maps.
• Produced novel science hypotheses researchers are now testing in actual labs
• Outperformed a model published in Science journal — at 1/100th the size
• Lawyers said its contract redlines beat their current model. Every time.

We keep saying AI is changing everything.
