Basically he's saying it's a lose-lose situation

@oliemack The latter group I imagine largely doesn't know or understand how much of a benefit it brings to certain organizations/individuals. Anecdotal but my brother + many friends work in tech and they universally say it's effectively a game changer for their workflow

@JezCorden Not to be a corporate shill but for MS, Google, AMZN etc., they've doubled their headcount in the last 10+ years. Many companies fire then rehire, and for growing companies it's more of the former. Outlets won't ever report hiring numbers cus that won't get clicks

@oliemack It's also worth noting that doing the conversion trick of GP core to ultimate still works (though they just nerfed that too..). Like right now, I can get ultimate to ~$13/month
