@dfinity, the developer behind Internet Computer $ICP, is one of 26 member organizations representing the blockchain ecosystem in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) new Blockchain Advisory Group (BAG).

The new initiative was announced in Paris at the Proof of Talk 2026 conference event.

It's always funny when people say $ICP holders are pushing conspiracy theories by claiming #InternetComputer gets ignored by mainstream (paid) media and influencers.

In 2024, UNDP didn't just invite DFINITY/ICP to join an advisory group. It selected DFINITY as a partner to develop and implement Universal Trusted Credentials on #InternetComputer.

Then, in 2026, UNDP launched a Blockchain Advisory Group consisting of 26 organizations, not just the 7 mentioned by @Cointelegraph.

Yet when @Cointelegraph promoted the initiative, #ICP somehow didn't make the cut.

Think about that for a second.

In 2024, ICP was already building solutions with UNDP.

In 2026, when the same organization announced a 26-member advisory group, the project actually implementing technology with UNDP was omitted from the coverage.

Apparently, helping UNDP build real-world infrastructure is less newsworthy than being good at getting mentioned.

Maybe it's not a conspiracy.

Maybe it's just a coincidence that for the past five years, ICP, while pushing to put entire applications, AI, storage, smart contracts, and multichain integrations fully onchain, keeps getting left out of the conversation.

You can decide for yourself whether it's just bad luck, or whether ICP threatens an industry built on selling layers, bridges, cloud dependencies, offchain infra, and the narratives used to justify them.

The next era ran on what was left.

This time it won't just flush the speculators.

🧵 Cardano founding entities got $150m over the last 2 years

Let’s assume Dfinity were to need that much. And Dfinity ACTUALLY has the largest R&D team.

And ICP can host full web apps and AI. And already has a private, enterprise cloud service model that is being adopted by Pakistan.

It’s lightyears of Cardano in every way. And Cardano launched 5yrs before ICP.

At $3 per ICP. They’d need to dump 50 million ICP on centralized exchanges.

There’s only 60m ICP total on exchanges right now and a decent % of that is illiquid.

Imagine if we watched 50m ICP dumped on exchanges in 2 years *solely* to fund operations. Not including node provider rewards, voting rewards, other general selling.

This is the best way to explain how INSANE IT IS that the Cardano teams got THAT MUCH *JUST FOR* funding operations.

This is going to be one of wildest unwinds in Crypto history. And it will be followed by other L1s.
