🚨| 🔥💣 El chiringuito claim arsenal have agreed a deal gyokeres to atletico, alvarez to arsenal plus £50m. sensational if true. almost certainly not true. but let's talk about it anyway 🤯🇦🇷🇸🇪
Let's be completely upfront about where this story comes from.
El Chiringuito the Spanish television programme known for theatrical claims and sensational transfer exclusives that don't always materialise reported that Arsenal have an agreement in place with Atletico Madrid. Viktor Gyokeres goes to Madrid. Julian Alvarez comes to Arsenal. Plus £50 million flowing toward the Metropolitano.
The journalist who said it, Jota Jordi, has a reputation for bold claims so treat accordingly.
[TEAMtalk] have already pushed back on the "agreement" framing sources telling them directly that no such deal is currently in place, while acknowledging that lines of communication between Arsenal and Atletico remain open and ongoing.
This is the part that matters most both Arteta and Berta are huge admirers of Gyokeres and believe he has significant room for development. Arsenal would be extremely reluctant to involve him in any negotiations for Alvarez.
But here's the question everyone actually wants answered. If this deal were real — would it make sense?
On paper? Almost too much sense.
Alvarez has scored 48 goals in 104 appearances for Atletico. His estimated transfer value sits at €116.3 million the tenth highest of any player in world football.
He's a World Cup winner, a Champions League finalist and the most complete forward on the market.
Gyokeres is 27. Won the title. Scored 21 goals. But Arsenal have been linked with virtually every elite striker available and that tends to mean something.
Atletico admire Gyokeres they see him as a more conventional number nine who fits Simeone's system. The club-record fee question disappears if a player goes the other way.
Is it happening? Almost certainly not in this form.
Would it be the most audacious deal of the summer if it did? Without question.
Keep your eyes on this one. 👀🔴⚪
👏🏴 Mikel Arteta's Arsenal HISTORIC season comes to an end, and despite losing the Champions League final, what a campaign it has been for Arsenal:
• They won the Premier League after many years without lifting the title
• They proved to be the most dominant team throughout the season
• They reached the Champions League final UNBEATEN and only lost on penalties
• They were just a few details away from completing a legendary season
You may like Arsenal or not. You may enjoy their style of play or not. But you cannot deny that this was a HISTORIC season.
Mikel Arteta has brought Arsenal back to the very top of European football. 🎩
🚨🔵 BREAKING: Enzo Maresca has a total verbal agreement with Manchester City, HERE WE GO!
The Italian manager has always been considered the ideal candidate to replace Pep Guardiola.
Deal in place and Maresca will sign an initial three year deal at #MCFC. 🇮🇹
New era, soon.
🚨🎙️ Ian Wright on Viktor Gyökeres criticism
"Listen, the critics are always coming for Gyökeres, talking about his hold-up play, saying he’s not linking up, low touches, the ball’s bouncing off him – all that nonsense! But come on man, look at the stats! The boy’s got 21 goals already this season, scored a brace today, banging in penalties when it matters, and he’s driving Arsenal towards the title! The numbers don’t lie – stop the noise, he’s delivering where it counts! That’s what strikers do, they score goals! 🔥"
The genius of Saka is that he can do some of what every great winger can do.
Prime Doku ball? Sure.
Prime Mahrez moves? For sure.
Prime Grealish power? No problem.
Prime Salah runs? Achievable.
That is why low IQ football watchers are constantly confused about him.
🚨Dennis Bergkamp on hatred towards Arsenal:
Even to this day, I still don’t understand why people hate Arsenal so much. Arsenal are not the only team in history to finish second in the league for three consecutive seasons.
What surprises me even more is seeing Manchester United fans supporting their biggest rivals, Manchester City, to win the league four times in five years—I honestly wasn’t expecting that.
Football is about rivalry, but sometimes it feels like an obsession with Arsenal. Every mistake is magnified, while others don’t get the same criticism.
Since we achieved the Invincibles—something none of them have been able to do—they don’t enjoy seeing us win trophies anymore.”
Whatever way you want to look at it, Arsenal and Manchester City have been neck and neck all season.
Points won last five games:
Arsenal - 12 points
Man City - 11 points
Points won last ten games:
Arsenal - 20 points
Man City - 21 points
Points won last twenty games:
Arsenal - 41 points
Man City - 42 points
I understand the severe PTSD from previous seasons and the fact we HAVE to win this year. However the panic from the fanbase certainly isn’t helping.
Let’s win on Wednesday. Gain some momentum and go from there.
Just relax. We’re still well in this.
Fulham need a passer. Maybe Tyler Morton. Then they need a zone-dominant LW, not this Kevin nonsense.
If they can sign a No. 10 like Damsgaard on top, they will get Europe next season.
