Your psychology in forex trading must be that of a business.
A business that buys and sells goods.
Consider the positions you enter as inventory. The objective is to buy the inventory at a discount and sell it to customers later at a higher price.
You never know how long you'll be sitting on the inventory, but eventually you will be able to offload the product at a decent price. It could be a week, it could be a month, it could be 6 months. Nevertheless it will make you a profit if you're patient enough and if you bought it at a discounted price.
There will be products that will move fast and there will be products that take time to move. The most important thing is to stay in business.
So how do you make sure you stay in business? You diversify your inventory. Along with a diverse inventory, you make sure you don't over stock on any particular product. Ever. No matter how good the sale may seem. Stick to your budget.
In order to keep the lights on, you need to make sure there are adequate funds in the account. Enough to keep you floating while you wait for the inventory to sell.
A business that deals with inventory is always in a drawdown. If they are holding product, they are dealing with drawdown. As the products sell, the account balance grows. More discount opportunities arise so you buy more product as soon as you sell the old ones. The drawdown is in constant fluctuation as the account balance continues to grow. The drawdown you face in diversified forex trading is no different than a convenience store or a grocery store faces when they're holding products. Many people have a hard time understanding that concept.
It's a non stop cycle of moving inventory and drawdown is part of the game. If you can't manage drawdown you won't be in business too long.
Learn to properly manage your inventory purchases to ensure you survive the necessary drawdown. It's the most crucial aspect of running a profitable business.
Beginners traders need to forget about making money and getting good
Ruin your trading account as MUCH as possible
Don't tiptoe around your demons. Show your ENTIRE personality, discipline and impulsiveness, greed and composure, stubbornness and adoptiveness, throw it ALL towards the charts
You will be in pain
You will be miserable
But after the heartbreak
Comes the realization that you're still alive
You're still HERE
A smile appears on your face
Because deep down you know
As long as you don't stop
You literally cannot fail.
Every trader had to go through this
And so must you.
You're not stupid.
You're not the first one.
Clench your jaw. Punch your pillow. Curse the world. Do whatever it takes to keep going.
There's light at the end of the tunnel.

StopLoss placing is one of the most important aspects in trading as it affects your whole performance (risk management, Winrate, RR…)
I know many of you struggle with it so I prepared a thread to try to give some clarity on HOW to use it and what NOT to do with it.
Enjoy. 👇
Your trading succes is ENTIRELY dependent on correctly defining what "going all in" means to YOU
Increasing your trade frequency, trying to make more money and "wanting" profitability more is NOT taking it seriously
Taking it seriously is re-journaling the 70 random trades you took that are now collecting dust with a before/after screenshot
Taking it seriously is putting your "rules" (which are just random unrelated concepts floating in your head) to paper and doing the BORING ASS work of backtesting
Taking it seriously is not waking up 5 minutes before open and actually THINK what YOU are gonna do if price does xyz
Taking it seriously is accepting losses are a BYPRODUCT of probability and have NOTHING to do with your competence
You can go hard and blow seven more accounts
Or you can go hard and actually make it this year
Your choice.
Go.
