I am very excited to announce the launch of a new open source Bitcoin client called Bitcoin $DOG Mode.
Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots have spent years enforcing rules that Bitcoin itself does not have.
A transaction can be fully valid under consensus and still be blocked from normal relay because it is “non-standard”. This has resulted in the creation of a private “black market” for Bitcoin transactions where insiders with connections to miners get do things that ordinary Bitcoin users cannot.
The $DOG Army has already gotten around this system twice.
First we went directly to miners to execute the largest transaction in Bitcoin’s history because Bitcoin Core would not relay it. Then we did it again for the largest airdrop in Bitcoin’s history because of Core’s arbitrary 83-byte OP_RETURN limit.
Around the same time, the Runes Protocol had grown so popular that memecoin activity accounted for the majority of transactions on the Bitcoin network. Many of these transactions also went directly to miners to bypass Core’s minimum relay fee.
Core realized it had been outmaneuvered and in response they released Core v30 which removed the OP_RETURN limit and lowered the default minimum relay fee to 0.1 sat/vB.
This revealed a clear pattern. The $DOG Army could route our “non-standard” transactions around Core, miners would accept them, and then Core was eventually forced to give in.
The $DOG Army is done asking for permission. It is time to remove even more of these frivolous restrictions.
That is why we are starting an open source initiative to develop our own Bitcoin client called $DOG Mode.
When using Bitcoin in $DOG Mode:
1. The maximum standard transaction size will be increased from 400,000 WU to 3,900,000 WU. This will give everyone equal access to do “four meggers” while leaving a generous 100,000 WU of space for the coinbase transaction and block overhead.
2. The global dust limit will be lowered from 294-546 sats (depending on output type) to 1 sat. Ordinals inscriptions and Runes UTXOs are currently forced to carry hundreds of unnecessary sats to appease Bitcoin Core. This will remove the need for “padding” and effectively airdrop ~$25M in locked up sats back to the Ordinals and Runes ecosystem.
Unlike Bitcoin Knots, which deviates significantly from Bitcoin Core and introduces substantial risk to node runners, Bitcoin $DOG Mode aims to only change the absolute minimum code necessary to remove these two restrictions.
And unlike BIP-110, which attempts to change Bitcoin consensus through a network fork, $DOG Mode operates entirely within Bitcoin’s existing consensus rules and does not require a fork.
This ensures that $DOG Mode can be successful from day one.
Over time the economic incentives will drive $DOG Mode’s adoption and force Bitcoin Core to stop gatekeeping and allow these completely valid transactions. The result will be a more open, fair, and transparent Bitcoin network.
If you are a Bitcoin developer who is interested in contributing to the initial $DOG Mode release, please reach out to me.
If you are a Bitcoin miner who is interested in increasing your revenue by adding support for $DOG Mode transactions, please reach out to me.
If you are a normal Bitcoin user who wants to support $DOG Mode quote post this with: “I will run Bitcoin in $DOG Mode”
Yesterday I debated Fred Krueger and his BIP-110 simps and here is what I learned 🧵
1. They immediately conceded that BIP-110 does absolutely nothing to stop Ordinals and Runes. That surprised me, but I give them credit for being intellectually honest on this point even though it completely undermines the original value proposition of BIP-110.
2. Fred and his friends seemed unequipped to have a substantive technical discussion and lacked a fundamental understanding of how Bitcoin works. At several points, we talked past one another because they did not appear to understand the distinction between consensus rules and standardness rules.
3. The extent to which BIP-110 supporters appealed to authority genuinely shocked me. Their argument largely rested on the idea that allowing people to write offensive things about figures such as Xi Jinping or Elizabeth Warren could create obstacles to Bitcoin adoption. The mask came off when Fred said "I don’t think the Bitcoin network should be used for free speech". It became clear to me that this group represents one of the least cypherpunk factions ever to be involved in Bitcoin governance discussions.
4. I found it morally objectionable that they invoked the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children to score points in a debate. It was largely irrelevant to the discussion and was designed to provoke an emotional response from the listeners. The same tactic has been used by people seeking to censor Bitcoin in the past who point to terrorism, drugs, or other horrific conduct, then use those examples to justify restrictions on everyone else. Ironically, this is the same template nation states use to centralize power and erode individual freedoms. At a minimum, I find it to be deeply odd behavior for boomers to sit around on X spaces all day discussing child sexual exploitation. The fact that they seemed so focused on and knowledgeable about this specific topic was concerning to say the least.
5. Fred became most agitated when I pointed out that for the past year he has promoted down only ponzi paper Bitcoin products to his audience rather than teaching them how to hold and self-custody actual Bitcoin. He also seemed uncomfortable when he asked me how $DOG had performed since its all-time high and I responded that it had significantly outperformed the hundreds of Pump Fun memecoins he has launched on Solana, something many of his followers appeared unaware of.
6. What surprised me most was how concerned they seemed about the success of $DOG as the #1 memecoin on Bitcoin. They appeared deeply bothered that Bitcoin memecoin activity has accounted for more than half of all Bitcoin transactions over the past three months. To me that is simply an indictment of how miserably they have failed to drive adoption of Bitcoin's monetary use case. Rather than confront the consequences of allowing institutions to pillage the Bitcoin ecosystem and turn everyone into paper Bitcoiners, they have invented a new boogeyman to chase, the $DOG Army.
7. Overall Fred came across as an opportunist who jumped onto BIP-110 at the final hour to generate some engagement. I vividly remember Fred posting in support of Ordinals and Runes just a year ago. In fact he used to be an Ordinals collector himself. My prediction is that within three months "BIP-110" will disappear from his name and he will move on to the next grift. That is what people like him tend to do.
I'll end by saying that I respect Fred for agreeing to debate me, something that no other BIP-110 supporter has been willing to do. At least he was willing to have the conversation, even if he ended up getting embarrassed in his own space, in front of his own audience by a shitcoiner with a skull PFP.
Given how that debate went, I'm not expecting a long line of BIP-110 supporters eager to face me, however if anyone believes they can present the pro-BIP-110 position more effectively than Pump Fun Fred, I will happily debate them live on X Spaces at any time.

Yesterday we joined @brevis_zk, @PancakeSwap, and BNBChain for a long, honest AMA🎙️ —
And the most direct question we got was:
“B² has evolved from a BTC Layer2 into a Bitcoin-based AI payment infrastructure. What exactly changed?”🤔
A great question — and here’s the simple truth:
👉 The world is entering the AI economy
👉 AI needs a global, safe, programmable settlement layer
👉 And Bitcoin is the only credible base
B² exists to make BTC actually used — by humans and by AI Agents.
If you want to know what we’ve built over the past months, keep reading. 👇
People don't like using Bitcoin as money 🧵
I wish that wasn't true but it is
Because Bitcoin is so scarce and such a strong store of value people expect it to go up over time
This creates a mindset of "I am selling my Bitcoin to buy a coffee"
People don't want to go through the mental gymnastics of making a "trade" every time they buy a coffee
They just want to buy a coffee
That's why stablecoins are being adopted for payments globally at a rate 1000x faster than Bitcoin
My hope is that one day Bitcoin reaches a $100T+ market cap and becomes stable enough for everyday use but until then it doesn’t make sense to force a behavior that people clearly don’t want
Zap was built to onboard everyone
Using a stablecoin under the hood and showing users a simple "cash" balance was an easy decision
Many talented teams are building incredible products for crypto natives
We decided to focus on everyone else
Zap isn’t for the 1 million crypto natives
Zap is for the 8 billion yet to join us
Guess what kind of art is actually immutably stored on-chain and doesn’t rely on AWS?
Ordinals.
That’s why Taproot Witches and Moonstones live on Bitcoin forever.

KRAKEN BUILT A RUNES INTEGRATION AND BECOME THE FIRST TIER-1 CEX TO LIST $DOG, THEN POSTED ABOUT $DOG EVERY DAY SINCE, THEN AIRDROPPED $50K OF $DOG, THEN CREATED A TRADING COMPETITION WHICH WOULD LET $DOG TAKE OVER THE REAR WING OF AN F1 CAR IN A REAL RACE, THEN ANNOUNCED THAT IF $DOG WINS THE COMPETITION THEY WILL ALSO CHANGE THEIR PFP ON X TO $DOG, THEN HIRED A TOP $DOG-FLUENCER @MRKEYWAY, THEN THEIR CEO @ARJUNSETHI BOUGHT $DOG AND $DOG MERCH AND THEN DID A FULL INTERVIEW ABOUT $DOG WITH ANOTHER $DOG-FLUENCER @cryptolution SO NOW I THINK IT IS SAFE TO SAY THAT KRAKEN IS THE MOST AWESOME CRYPTO EXCHANGE IN THE WORLD AND OTHER EXCHANGES SHOULD BE TAKING NOTES
Pssst 🤫
$DOG @DogOfBitcoin will be available on Kraken tomorrow

Kraken $DOG listing is confirmed and is coming soon
I'm continuing to work to secure more tier-1 CEX listings for $DOG but can't share any specific details for obvious reasons
It has not been easy given exchanges try to extort you for tokens via "marketing budgets", "listing fees", and "market makers"
Despite that I am very proud that the $DOG Army does not participate in any of these forms of corruption that ultimately hurt retail and perpetuate the cycle of rugs
Exchanges should curate the best tokens for their users to buy and stop selling out their users as exit liquidity for whichever low cap memecoin scam will send them the most tokens
This is why the $DOG Army must continue to show up every single day and fight
There are millions of real people in the future who will never even know that we were the ones who helped them who are counting on us
And we must also not forget to lift up the exchanges who care about their users and support our movement by listing $DOG
Thank you all for your patience and unwavering support
I am proud of the progress that we have made but even more excited about the direction that things are heading in
$DOG go to the moon!
