@MadMaxEcon @MacroCRG Fair take. So far i know Hyperliquid works a bit differently. When a position is liquidated, the liquidity vault (HLP) inherits the position. Instead of closing it, HLP holds the position, hoping for profit, but it also carries the risk of losses if the market moves against it.

@MadMaxEcon @MacroCRG When a short is liquidated, their position needs to be sold. If there’s low demand (due to the price continuing to rise on JellyJelly), no one wants to take over the short, so the exchange (Hyperliquid) has to inherit it.
