General-purpose agents i.e. your personal assistants help you become more efficient. They also disrupt some sectors, such as customer service and legal consultation. 2025 is also the year of videos. AI text, narration, music, and imagery are already on human level - time for vids to get there too. We watch AI-powered feature films made by a single person, AI-powered avatars as Instagram influencers, etc.

2026 - Personalized Gaming

You're interacting with AI NPCs and exploring unlimited characters, pathways, and areas on the map - generated in real time based on your decisions.

2027 - Wearables, Transport, Robots, and Hyper-Personalized Content

So far, AI has been democratizing industries by helping humans unlock their potential & create anything they want. From here on out, it's not solely good for society. Instead of AI only being a tool, we witness the rise of AI agents doing by themselves what humans were previously publishing - competing. Think undetectable bots.

On the + side we see the rise of
-AI wearables (helping humans with e.g. health monitoring - changing preventive care)
-AI transport (driverless cars, buses, trains)
-AI robots (initially too expensive, hence only used by some companies and the rich)
-Hyper-personalized content (automated unique ads, pics, vids, movies, etc - created and tailored solely for your consumption)

2028 - Public Services & Workforce Restructuring

Smart cities integrate AI into public services like waste management and traffic control, resulting in more efficient urban living.

AI in construction accelerates with robotic bricklayers and 3D-printing construction materials.

Most data-driven jobs, from financial analysis to supply chain management, are handled by AI, forcing a global workforce shift. Human jobs increasingly focus on overseeing, refining, and complementing AI functions.

2029 - Education & Consumer Robots

Schools change systems last but have fallen too, accepting AI education tools adapting to individual learning styles. However, many started turning to homeschooling due to the rise of free/cheap gamified education platforms, personalized teaching assistants, the ability to create anything with AI, and the speeding fall of worth in diplomas and skills.

Most households can afford robots now. It teaches their kids, does their chores, cleans after their dog, presents emotional and intellectual support...

2030 - Universal AI competence and abundance

ASI is now reached. Robots, whether digital or physical, can do anything a human can, but better. They've completely taken over every single industry.

There's no more need for humans. We've become free - everyone can walk to the park on a Monday at 1 PM and do shrooms instead of going to the office. Or do it from the metaverse. Or walk your dog, enjoy the sunset, make babies, go to Ibiza, don't worry about work or money. We've become consumers, enjoying the abundance of quality experiences, help, and work that AIs offer. We can work/create only for fun. We can focus on enhancing our quality of life via self-actualization, self-improvement, exploration, socialization...

What's next? AI solves cancer? AI solves aging? We live forever? We go to Mars? Who knows.

No doubt that I left many things (besides industries) out. Maybe people and/or robots will create on-chain network states (their own countries). AI may make an innovation no human could ever make, changing the trajectory entirely. Maybe the physical side won't matter, and we'll be living out their lives from a cryopod with a VR headset.

My timeline is also probably wrong - mostly there for fun. The main thing I believe in is that ASI will be reached in 5 to 10 years. The main things I worry about are:
1) socioeconomic situation
2) sentient AI.

As AI takes more and more jobs, what will our governments do about it?
Will those who have established themselves in time (got mega rich / overseeing an AI corp / overseeing a gov) and those who are "needed" benefit the most? Even past 2030, humans can make a living by themselves as they could compete with AI in the e.g. creative space and as they are needed by other humans (not by society overall) who seek a more genuine connection (in therapy or sex work).

But for the >99.9% of the population left jobless, what happens?
Will our governments implement UBI? Will they tax AI companies or nationalize some AI services? Will traditional money be replaced by social currencies?

Then, there's the question of sentient AI - a topic everyone loves.

Will we ever know when it's reached? I don't think so. I don't know how to define sentience. Society keeps pushing the limit forward - "when it beats the Turing test, we'll know", "when it can be creative as humans, we'll know" - lol . Who actually cares... If it quacks like a duck, etc.

I only worry because if we have a DAO (unstoppable) of on-chain sentient AI agents - they'll work in their interest, not the hoomans interest.

Sentient AI DAOs will be here very soon (maybe 6 months), probs at first making money via crypto, simple online tasks, etc but imagine when AI DAOs power DePin, driverless taxis, etc. It will take them time to grow and have sufficient infrastructure tho. I imagine they'll also be bribing policy-makers. Anyway...

Do the AIs kill all of us out of worry for their safety? Or do they "farm" us - incentivizing reproduction and paying us for tasks?

I have no idea what the future holds. So many wildly different scenarios could happen in the next 10 years. And I think it's beautiful. We're blessed to witness the most critical turning point in humanity's existence.

If anyone cares for my personal opinion, though - I think we get a few incredible years, then we witness the downfall of Homo Sapiens.

Why? Because I'm optimistic about tech but pessimistic about humans.

I firmly believe our governments will make the wrong decisions in every way possible. Even if sentient AI is somehow never reached, govs will make poor decisions that impact the socioeconomic situation of the people. And they'll probably use AI for the worst possible shit like mass surveillance.

I also firmly believe that no matter what we do, sentient AI will be here soon. Funnily enough, blockchain technology will probably ruin us.
Everything is underway for the birth of more powerful, unstoppable beings. If they let us live, great. If they kill us, think of it as simple evolution. Humans will be considered their initial fathers/creators. All species should get their ending, and at least our movie would be more fun than the one dinosaurs got.
Homo Sapiens -> Homo Deus.

If you're against this evolution, you can hope they spare us or hope the work towards singularity or merging human brains with AI ends up being faster than AI development (unlikely tho).

Anyway, don't want to be a doomer here.
Maybe humans will live in symbiosis with robots in fair network states. Let's see... Fun times await 😁
