Rent It or Be Taxed: Albanese’s New Housing Solution?

During the Productivity Roundtable, the Albanese Government allowed a proposal to be discussed that many consider “monstrous.” The proposal involves forcing homeowners who have spare bedrooms to rent them out to new arrivals - or pay a tax if they don’t. The outcome appears to be that elderly Australians will vacate their homes and move into retirement facilities, thereby freeing up housing for others.

Young couples will also be a target. Those purchasing their first home with extra rooms intended for a family in the future may mean that they will be required to take in boarders or pay a tax—an added financial burden at a time when many are already stretched thin.

During Question Time, I asked Finance Minister Senator Gallagher to rule out this horrible idea. Unfortunately, she declined to do so.

As Margaret Thatcher once said, “Eventually, socialists run out of other people’s money.”

It seems the Albanese Government has taken that as a challenge.

So for all that cost, Australia has reduced its manmade CO2 emissions by a token 2.8% since 2005 (mainly by closing down industry and shipping production off-shore).

Net Zero is a complete scam.

1. A money-making scam for the climate grifters & spivs.
2. Vote buying for the left side of politics.
3. Wealth transfer to Communist China.

Australians are taxed to death.

First, they take up to 47% of your income with income tax and the Medicare levy.

Spend what’s left? 10% GST.

Buy a home? Get smashed with stamp duty, then locked into land tax, council rates, water rates, maintenance levies, and a string of compliance fees.

Drive a car? You’re paying fuel excise, rego, tolls, luxury car tax, and stamp duty on insurance.

Try to invest or save? Cop capital gains tax, interest income tax, and dividend tax, even on your own retirement.

Your super gets taxed going in, taxed on earnings, and taxed coming out — and if you die, your beneficiaries might get taxed too.

Then there’s insurance stamp duties, sin taxes on alcohol and tobacco, airport levies, import duties, luxury taxes, and more.

Want to run a small business? Brace for payroll tax, licensing fees, compliance costs, company tax, and ASIC fees.

Even working off the land hits you with water licenses, environmental levies, and carbon offsets. And through it all, inflation quietly erodes the little you're allowed to keep.

By the end, between visible taxes and hidden charges, you're lucky to hold on to 30–40% of your actual earnings, and you'll likely spend 100% of that on your most very basic necessities.

Check out Sky News gaslighting People First by referring to us as Independents.

They could find the logo for the cannabis party but couldn’t find the logo for People First!

This Is just further proof, not that It was needed, that the mainstream media see People First as a threat to the establishment parties including One Nation.

And so they should. Despite only having four months to prepare we had the best ground game of any minor party In Queensland with volunteers at more booths than even One Nation.

There is no doubt Australians are looking for a political party that isn’t controlled by the establishment.
