My current take:
$ZUL looks like a real early-stage builder project, not a generic low-effort pump.
The code/docs/RPC/SDK/explorer/lock all look better than average.
But it is still very early:
Stage-0 trust model,
single sequencer,
devnet/testnet bridge

I checked the token, creator wallet, Streamflow lock, GitHub, docs, SDK, explorer, RPC, bridge UI, and some timing around the launch.
My conclusion: ZUL looks like a real early-stage technical project, but not yet a fully proven production L2.

Backpack integration also makes technical sense.
ZUL explains that Backpack may still label the native balance as “SOL” because wallet providers cannot easily be told a custom native token name for a Solana-compatible RPC.
Their note says:
1 shown “SOL” = 1 ZUL
