@ToxiKat27 @DaireBTC @PeterMcCormack Theres plenty of evidence of well spent money that hasnt been earned by an individual. Bringing up lotto winners who end up bankrupt soon after doesnt disprove that.
Your world political view is far too individualistic to appreciate the idea of collective, cooperative effort.
@ToxiKat27 @DaireBTC @PeterMcCormack Your assertion is predicated on the completely disconnected idea that everyone would go out and help the poor with me, whereas in fact the opposite is true.
The idea that money can only be spent properly by an individual that earned it is also complete bullshit.
@ToxiKat27 @DaireBTC @PeterMcCormack But you acknowledge that some form of collection of public money is necessary in order to run a modern society?
Or are you an anarchist at heart?
@XavierSeton@PeterMcCormack Yes and what you are alluding to is actually the relationship every individual has with the state.
Which is another truth. No matter the "success" or "failure" (whatever those terms mean) of how it spends that money.
@SituationlGrvty@PeterMcCormack What about private debt levels?
Anyone ever talk about that? its always about the government debt to GDP ratios yet no focus is given to how much private debt there is - as if that isnt a much bigger problem.
@PeterMcCormack Unfortunately the moment you are born you have an established relationship with the state. Money (or taxes) is the way that relationship is maintained.
You can call it theft but leaving it up to people to just choose what they value would end up in far worse outcomes.
@realCoreyEngel@APompliano Theres nothing more parasitic than a hegemonic capitalist siphoning off the rents of the efforts of a bunch of minions. Biological comparatives are also pretty inappropriate anyway and can be construed in whatever desired way to illustrate a point.
@LayahHeilpern Hey @LayahHeilpern You can hate Iran all you want, im not particularly impressed with the government these days, but its a very interesting place to visit.
So much history, so much culture, one religion. It's a fascinating place to explore.
Don't knock it till you try it.
@failed_testing@siemaiqbal@piersmorgan Oh you mean like what Palestine was like BEFORE Hamas even existed? Pfft whatever your shortsighted nonsense and lies dont fool anyone anymore.
