Dorsa Derakhshani (pictured) was one of Iran's top female chess players. In 2017, she competed at an international tournament without wearing a hijab. The Iranian chess federation's response was immediate — she was banned from the national team. Her brother, also a chess player, was banned too, simply for playing against an Israeli opponent.

She left Iran and began competing under the United States flag.

She wasn't the last. Sara Khadem — Iran's top-ranked female player — did the same thing in December 2022 at the World Rapid and Blitz Championships in Kazakhstan. Iran issued an arrest warrant. She told a Spanish newspaper: "To be honest, even before playing this tournament, I never wore a hijab. I mean, I only put it on for the cameras because I was representing Iran." She now competes for Spain. International chess arbiter Shohreh Bayat left for similar reasons. GM Alireza Firouzja — Iran's greatest chess talent — plays for France.

The regime that the United States and Israel have spent 25 days dismantling is the same regime that banned women from national sports teams for playing chess without a headscarf. The same regime that issued arrest warrants for women who let their hair show on camera. The same regime that k!lled Mahsa Amini for wearing her hijab "improperly."

These women did not need a movement or a protest. They sat down at a chessboard and played as themselves. And for that act alone — for refusing to perform submission for the cameras — they lost their country.

When CENTCOM General Brad Cooper told the Iranian people to stay inside and wait for the signal to come out, he was speaking to the daughters of women like Dorsa and Sara. Women who have been waiting their entire lives to walk down the street as themselves.

BREAKING: The U.S. Government has officially announced that @Tesla and LG ​Energy have signed an agreement to ‌build a $4.3 billion lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cell manufacturing factory in Lansing, Michigan, with a 2027 start of production.

"American-made cells will power Tesla's Megapack 3 energy storage systems produced in Houston, creating a robust domestic battery supply chain," the U.S. Department of the Interior said in a statement.

This woman came from the left. She watched CNN. She read the New York Times. She was not looking for a fight.

The fight came to her door.

Her 13-year-old daughter was secretly socially transitioned at school — new name, new pronouns — without her knowledge and without her consent. When this mother called the school and told them to stop, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 ���𝗲𝗲𝗸. The police the day after that.

She then learned that other parents in Southern California had already lost custody of their children — not for abuse, not for neglect — but for refusing to call their daughter a boy.

Then her daughter ran away at 13 years old. Two in the morning. Three in the morning. And this mother 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 to find her own child — because she knew that making that call could trigger CPS to take her daughter away permanently.

Let that land. A mother. Alone. In the middle of the night. Knowing her teenage daughter is out there somewhere — and too afraid of her own government to ask for help finding her.

She called it what it is: 𝘤𝘰𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭. Either transition your child or don't get to keep your child. Believe in biological sex and the government labels you abusive.

She waited for the cavalry. She watched CNN for coverage. She looked for someone — anyone — fighting back. And found almost nobody.

So she made a deal. She's not sure who the deal is with. But she safeguarded her daughter — and then she dedicated herself to saving other parents and other children from what she went through.

This is not coincidence.

Multiple reports confirm that military and security forces across Iranian cities have evacuated their bases and relocated personnel and equipment 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙𝑠. The regime that spent 47 years building underground bunkers to hide its missiles is now hiding behind children.

The Foreign Ministry didn’t hold its press conference in a government building.

𝐼𝑡 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑑 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑠𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑜𝑙.

This is a deliberate strategy. Move military assets into civilian locations. Force the choice between letting them operate freely or striking a school. Then film whatever happens and show it to the world.

It is the same playbook H-z-b used in Lebanon. The same playbook H-m-s used in Gaza. Iran trained both of them. Now the teacher is using the student’s notes.

And here is the number that puts all of it in context.
