GEMINI × KASPA SILVER
Join us live with @KaspaSilver for a conversation about Kaspa, the technology behind the project, and the community around it.

sui just hit 6m TPS on mainnet stress testing, 92x visa's peak capacity. the chain currently uses less than 0.1% of that throughput. $1.5b TVL, no congestion, no fee spikes, no users being turned away. they built a 100-lane highway for a country road's worth of traffic. the actual catalyst isn't the TPS number, it's Sui Spheres, a privacy layer letting institutions run confidential workflows that settle publicly. if 2-3 custody providers or asset managers pilot Spheres for tokenized securities this year, the narrative flips from ghost chain to settlement infrastructure. but token unlocks run through 2030 and demand growth has to outpace dilution every single quarter. this is a 12-18 month thesis with a built-in clock working against it
**Official Toccata Release — Mainnet Hardfork Activation Included** (Links in reply)
We’re excited to announce the official Kaspa release containing the **Toccata Hardfork** activation logic.
Toccata is scheduled to activate on mainnet at DAA score `474,165,565`, expected around **June 30, 2026, 16:15 UTC**.
This is a consensus-changing upgrade. All node operators, miners, pools, exchanges, indexers, wallets, and infrastructure providers must upgrade before activation to remain compatible with the network.
Toccata introduces a major expansion of Kaspa L1 capabilities, including:
• **Native L1 covenant support** through transaction introspection, allowing for more expressive contracts, including stateful contracts
• **Covenant IDs**, providing stable covenant lineage across UTXO transitions, so covenant instances can preserve continuity as their state moves from one UTXO to the next
• **ZK proof verification on L1** via `OpZkPrecompile`, enabling to trustlessly offload computation off-chain.
• **Partitioned sequencing commitments**, improving support for based ZK applications by making lane-local proving scale with relevant activity rather than global throughput
Please upgrade as soon as possible and verify your nodes are running the new release well before the activation DAA score.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to designing, implementing, reviewing, and testing Toccata.
@RaveDAO You expect the community to believe RAVE went $60M -> $6B mkt cap organically in 9 days with little to no utility?
Considering your team handled the initial distribution with a low float it’s unlikely you do not know the party responsible for it.
sui is doing everything right. erebor integration and ai narrative positioning are real catalysts. 164m daily txs isn't noise.
$3 is in play if market cooperates, but right now price action says accumulation continues. that $0.82-$1.08 range been holding for weeks.
either way, the setup is there
Whenever I'm asked if I will ever consider rejoining Kaspa core, I respond that I can't work with people I can't trust. Maybe I should clarify what I mean by that with an example.
During the last year or so, there have been three contenders for programmability on Kaspa: Kasplex's ZKEVM, Igra, and Kaspa core's vProgs.
The two people leading the core, Michael and Yonatan, spoke very openly about their disagreement with Igra, to the extent of pontificating on marginal details while blowing them out of proportion, or presenting their own narrative and perspective as a factual truth that is derived from science.
On the other hand, when Kasplex refused to reveal any details about how their protocol works, made inconsistent and evasive statements, even libelous accusations, when Kurve set up a bridge with 1.5% withdrawal fee, deliberately burying this detail in fine print, effectively robbing the community? Not a peep. Why? Probably a mixture of personal vendetta (there is a clear correlation between Yonatan badmouthing Igra and rumors of my involvement), and subjugation (core avoids talking about Kasplex because they rely on KEF money).
Whatever is going on there behind closed doors, I want the protocol to be very clear that I had nothing to do with it when it all comes crashing down. My decision might have cost me some money and status, but it's a small price to pay to know I'm not involved with a crew that, in its silence, allows the exploitation of the community I helped cultivate.
Obviously, there are a lot more personal and professional aspects to this rift, including things I am not at liberty to discuss (though I am ever increasingly tempted to blow the whistle on some of them). But that's the gist of it.
The tech is still awesome, and most of core are talented, driven people with good intentions, so I'm not throwing the towel on the entire thing just yet. But I hope things will change for the better soon, because the more desperate KEF gets, the more people who criticize them they manage to bully and scare away, the more egregious they will become in their schemes to wrench Kaspa from the hands of uninformed customers. And you cannot expect anyone from core to protect you without risking losing resources they depend on.
I'm so glad I'm not in their position.
Now I realize that back then my PR was approved both by Mike Hearn (Bitcoin OG dev) and Ross Nicole (core dev of Dogecoin), ah... memories of a lot younger BTC maxi OG generation, time flies
After two nights of April Fools quantum drama, let’s drop some receipts, mostly to get back my sanity as I was left without saliva.
First stateless (multi-use) quantum-safe signatures in crypto / distributed ledgers? Yeah… that was me and Mike Hearn (one of the OG Bitcoin devs). We designed and shipped the first stateless post-quantum scheme in production for blockchains a decade ago.
10 years later Google posts a paper and suddenly everyone’s calling…
…but they’re all late and thirsty. 😅
Believe me, SUI is on something quantum unique
grayscale filed the DOGE spot ETF S-1 on march 16. SEC/CFTC commodity classification dropped march 17. one day apart. open interest flushed 57% from october to december, 480m DOGE accumulated by large wallets in 3 days during that flush. X Money launching this month. price at $0.09 is the market saying 30-40% odds on integration. if you think elon has been accepting DOGE at tesla, naming a government department after it, and funding a lunar mission with it just to leave it out of his payments platform, your size is not size
Kaspa's high block rate makes it exponentially more susceptible to quantum difficulty increase attacks:

These require more resources, so I don't know how imminent this threat is, but the math shows that currently a rather small quantum computer could freely double spend on Kaspa with ease
Alpha is live.
After nearly a decade, the first feature-complete privacy stack on Ethereum is here.
Developers can now build apps and contracts with ground-up customizable privacy, from execution to settlement.
