The split isn't ideological. It's structural.

As regulatory pressure increases, compliant projects face a choice: implement surveillance features or face enforcement.

Exchanges delist privacy coins. Developers face prosecution. The "legitimate" crypto ecosystem converges toward something indistinguishable from traditional finance - just with (much) worse UX.

Meanwhile, the demand for financial privacy doesn't disappear.
