π Tesla Q3 earnings scorecard: expected vs actual
Gross margin: 17.9% β 19.6% β
Revenue: $28.3B β $28.05B (roughly in line)
EPS: $0.45 β $0.48 β
After hours: up about 2% at one point, then turned lower
Verdict: a beat, but only on gross margin. Gross margin climbed from 16.8% in Q2 back to 19.6%, so price-cut pressure looks like it has bottomed. The problem is costs. Operating income fell 56% year over year and net income fell 43%, as AI and Robotaxi spending ate up the margin gains.
Two takeaways from the earnings call: 2026 capex was cut from more than $25B to about $20B, and Optimus is in pilot production at Fremont. The market is doing the math: with less money going out, can the story still carry the stock?

π¦ Tesla earnings: the Roadster can fly, but can gross margin clear the bar?
The traffic cop is already waiting. Q2 gross margin was only 16.8%, and this quarter the market wants 17.9%. Miss this light, and a flying car won't help.

π₯ TSMC reported Q3 consolidated revenue of NT$1.49424 trillion. US-dollar revenue reached US$46.72 billion, above the US$45.8 billion guidance ceiling. EPS was NT$29.43, up 68.7% YoY.
Gross margin was 66.4%, within the 65%β67% guidance range. Operating margin was 58.7%, slightly above the 58% ceiling. The 2 nm node accounted for 8% of wafer revenue, while HPC accounted for 68% of revenue.
Q4 guidance is now available. Revenue is expected at US$52.3β54.3 billion, implying about 12.0%β16.2% QoQ growth from Q3. Gross-margin guidance is 65%β67%, and operating-margin guidance is 56.5%β58.5%.
The results show AI demand remains strong. TSMC may first affect risk appetite in TSM and AI stocks, with only an indirect potential spillover to BTC.
π Q3 net income was NT$763.06 billion and EPS was NT$29.43, both up 68.7% YoY and faster than revenue growth.
π The 2 nm node accounted for 8% of wafer revenue, 3 nm for 33%, and nodes at 7 nm and below for 79% in total.
π TSMC earnings do not directly cause BTC moves. A more plausible path is TSM and AI stocks moving first, followed by a broader risk-appetite spillover.

π₯ TSMC's Q3 earnings call starts at 10/15 14:00 UTC+8. Q3 consolidated revenue was about NT$1.494 trillion, or roughly US$46.7 billion at the company's assumed exchange rate, about 2% above the top of guidance.
The market already knows Q3 was strong. Q4 will drive the next repricing. Sequential growth above 15% would suggest AI wafer demand is still accelerating. Growth of 10% or less could trigger a sell-the-news reaction.
Also watch 2 nm yields, the early impact of volume production on gross margin, and 2027 capital expenditure. TSMC first affects risk appetite in AI stocks, which could then spill over to BTC. This is not a direct causal relationship.

π₯ September CPI came in hotter than expected (+0.6% MoM), putting an October hike back on the table.
π Prices are rising faster than expected, and the energy spike is spreading to other prices β exactly what many officials feared in the Fed minutes. The dollar strengthens, and stocks and gold weaken first.
π BTC fell from 83,800 to 82,550 (β1.5%) within a minute of the release. Next level to watch: 81K (the 50-day average). CME October hike odds jumped from under 20% to above 50%.
π The 10-year Treasury yield already spiked to 5.35%, the highest since 2002. Hotter data makes it even harder to come down. When inflation runs hot, BTC moves with stocks.
π Next up: the FOMC OctΒ 28 18:00 UTC. Before the meeting, the market will reprice hike odds.

π₯ September CPI is out OctΒ 14 12:30 UTC: the forecast runs hot, and this print shows whether BTC can withstand the inflation pressure.
π With gasoline surging, the forecast has jumped from August's +0.4% MoM to +0.5%. That much is expected. The real swing factor is whether it comes in above forecast.
π Two scenarios: at β₯ +0.6% MoM, prices are rising faster than expected, the dollar strengthens, and stocks, gold, and BTC tend to fall. At β€ +0.4%, hike risk drops further and BTC tends to rise.
π From the Fed's September minutes: many officials worry that the longer energy prices stay high, the more likely they are to spread into broader price pressure. A hot print would be exactly that scenario.

π₯ September payrolls came in weaker than expected (+29K): fewer reasons to hike in October.
π This year, weaker jobs mean fewer reasons to hike. The dollar eases, and BTC and gold tend to rise first.
π BofA had flagged that September could give back August's seasonal boost. Spot BTC ETFs also took in $2.4B in the week of SepΒ 21 β money is already on the sidelines.
π Next up: the FOMC OctΒ 28 18:00 UTC. Whether this report changes the Fed's tone will show at the meeting.
π In the last five reports, BTC rose on both weak ones, averaging +1.72%.
π Gold moved with BTC all five times. On weak data, watch them together.
π Only if unemployment rises to 4.3% is the slowdown confirmed. Payrolls alone aren't enough.

Bitget is restoring withdrawals in phases, and the vulnerability has been patched. From progress so far, the platform appears to be moving quickly to get operations back to normal. Following the security incident, Bitget did not retreat. Instead, it launched the Bitget Alliance Program, committing 30% of the platformβs eligible trading fee revenue to a USDT reward pool. This is not another voucher giveaway or a lucky draw for a handful of users. The more eligible trading activity takes place, the larger the reward pool grows, with updated figures reportedly published daily. No registration is required, and the campaign runs until October 26. Rewards are settled in seven-day rounds, with 60% of the pool distributed based on eligible trading volume and 40% based on eligible asset value. The minimum qualifying threshold for each pool is 100 USDT, and rewards are expected to be paid within two business days after each round ends. Eligible V1βV7 users also automatically receive 30 days of VIP status protection, along with access to a dedicated relationship manager and VIP customer support. Trust cannot be restored with slogans. At the very least, Bitget is not avoiding the issue and is willing to put real resources behind its response. Whether the Bitget Alliance Program marks the beginning of steadier, long-term operations is something the market will see in the coming weeks and months. #BitgetAllianceProgram https://t.co/gVoMUs59mX

π When money comes in, dips get bought. When money leaves, leverage takes over. This time price moved first and ETFs followed a day or two later, so the question now is whether they keep following.
π The test: ETFs take in over $200M for 3 days in a row, read together with stablecoins and on-chain flows (thresholds on the poster). When all three improve together, the rally stands on firmer ground. Consecutive outflows are a warning.

π₯ Decision is in. The Fed hikes 25bp, taking the range to 3.75β4.00%.
π The press conference is 30 minutes out β that's where it can be turned around. Don't treat the first candle as the conclusion.
π A hike drains liquidity, so BTC takes the most direct hit. This is the market's base case β the selling mostly happened before the meeting, so don't chase the first sharp drop after the decision.
π Across five 2026 decisions the rate never moved, yet BTC produced three different outcomes: three turned lower, one went up, one went nowhere.
Watch these three:
1οΈβ£ How far the 2-year Treasury yield jumps β the fastest confirmation
2οΈβ£ Whether the dollar index strengthens alongside it
3οΈβ£ Whether BTC's first 30-minute candle gets taken back
