@shoeluvvr You have zero proof Trumps call had any impact on the decision, per both Trump and Infantino’s comments it had zero impact because the decision was made by an 18 member international independent committee. It won’t matter if he sits or not it will never be enough to please you.
You have no proof of any of this shit other than Trump admitting that he called Infantino. An independent body of 18 members made the decision, who Trump didn’t speak to. Trumps call had zero impact per Infantino’s comments. It doesn’t matter if Balogun sits or not it will never be enough at this point.
No it isn’t I don’t know how that’s not registering to you.. If I ask you for something and you say it’s not your decision, am I pressuring you? Trump has a relationship with Infantino because the US are hosting the World Cup they speak. You are now questioning the integrity of the entire independent commission because you believe “without proof” that Trump influenced their decision with the phone call.
You act like you had been their for the conversation. Asking for a review is not necessarily pressure. Infantino told Trump it was governed by an independent panel that rules on these matters and that he had no impact on a review. You hate Trump so you want it to be foul play and can’t admit it could be something that was probably pretty benign with no actual impact.
@steve_604@JJWatt You’re saying there was political pressure, but there is no proof of that. Trump asked for a review, that is not necessarily political pressure. The board has like 12 people from different countries, you really think Trump got to all of them to get it overturned?
Seems like you’re just salty Canada is no longer in the tourney, so you got to try and throw jabs at the US. Look, all we have heard all tournament is the US played in a weak bracket. So when Paraguay wins against Germany and holds France to a penalty goal it contradicts that narrative.
@lipevieira Is more about the consistency of the calls in this tournament. The only reason that’s a red is a frame by frame slow motion VAR review. Otherwise it’s a yellow.
@MUFC1999_9@TheAthleticFC It’s more about the lack of consistency and in the Var call and usage for me, I would have said yellow he was clearly off balance and they were entangled. It suck this shit happened and Baloguns but it’s part of the game.
Surpassed baseball in the sense of popularity, more kids now play soccer than baseball. It’s a 2 gender sport so there are professional leagues for both. National teams for both etc. Not to mention the US has tons of 1st and 2nd generation residents who prefer soccer. I never claimed MLS was more popular than the MLB. Just the sports as a whole but it’s getting closer. I agree this World Cup will have a massive impact.
