welcome to BITCOIN: SEASON 2
โ bye bye podcasters
โ henlo builders and creators
bad news: bitcoin has stagnated for 6 years and has A LOT of catching up to do.
good news: in 4 months of ordinals madness we already covered A LOT of ground.
what will SEASON 2 look like?
- sustained demand for block space, high fees, happy miners
- everyone's a bitcoiner: in season 1, almost no one could be a bitcoiner.
if you had any sort of individual ambition, any hobbies or passions outside of watching michael saylor interviews, or if you held more than 1 type of digital asset, you were not invited.
in SEASON 2, there's no more gatekeeping. everyone's a bitcoiner. ORANGE YOU GLAD???
- bitcoin developers rise to the top: for years, eth devs had lucrative jobs while devs with bitcoin experience asked them if they wanted fries with that.
no more! the most successful companies in crypto will be BITCOIN COMPANIES and they will be BEGGING bitcoin devs to join.
- lightning adoption: the issue with the lightning network was never technological. it was the lack of product-market fit... very few people want to pay with bitcoin!
this changes in SEASON 2. BTC becomes the base asset of the bitcoin economy, and all ordinals, BRC-20s, etc are traded against BTC. now everyone wants to pay and be paid with bitcoin ๐ฒ
lightning adoption moons, the technical issues with lightning are revealed, and then fixed.
- smart contracts: yes. it's coming. arguably, early ordinals marketplaces already employ a basic form of smart contracts. which is very wholesome.
but as new bitcoiners continue to pile on, demand for new techniques will increase exponentially.
there are many potential ways to achieve this. on layer 1, on new layer 2s, some client-side validation methods.. lots of interesting options.
with increasing demand, and with the gatekeepers gone, there's room to propose and test all kind of methods.
- NUMBER GO UP. in season 1, most crypto participants had little reason to buy and hold bitcoin.
very few people have the patience to listen to a 12-hour podcast with bitcoin thinkbois laser-splaining how holding bitcoin can fix their marriage.
but A LOT OF PEOPLE want to play in the open SEASON 2 playground!
if they do well, they can convert their winnings to the hardest asset on earth, which is bitcoin.
if they lose, at least their leftovers are BTC in a bitcoin wallet, instead of ETH in metamask.
either way, NUMBER GO UP.
can't wait for the next plot twists. it's time for BITCOIN: SEASON 2. let's do a lil magic, anon ๐ช
