YouTube quietly shipped a real Netflix-style feature this summer, and most creators still haven't touched it. If your channel's in the YouTube Partner Program, you can now turn any existing playlist into a structured Show with seasons and numbered episodes. Go to YouTube Studio, Content, Playlists, click the three dots on a playlist that already functions like a series, and select "Add show features." YouTube auto-sorts the videos into Season 1, Episode 1, 2, 3... based on your original upload order, and you can manually reorder them afterward if you want. You'll then choose between two formats. Serial plays episodes in order starting from the oldest, built for anything where each part depends on the last, a course, a documentary, a real story. Non-serial is the default most channels will want, episodes can be watched in any order and get listed newest first, the same way your channel already behaves. The real upside isn't the organization, it's the discovery surface. Shows are eligible to appear in Search, in a dedicated "Recommended Shows" row, and in "Continue Watching," the same mechanisms that keep people binging on Netflix, and episodes can autoplay straight into the next one without a click. If you've got a playlist that already reads like a series, this is a free structural upgrade sitting in Studio right now, most people just haven't gone looking for it.
