Someone’s everyday walk.
A moment I’ll keep coming back to.
Long after the trip ends,
it’s ordinary streets like this that stay with me. 🇯🇵

@DDogeback That's why I separate volume from revenue. Flash loans can generate huge numbers, but what matters is whether the activity actually brings fees into the protocol.
DeepBook flash-loan volume is not a revenue figure.
Its documentation says flash loans carry no loan fee and must be repaid within the same programmable transaction.
The economic question is what the borrowed capital enables: arbitrage, liquidations or other trades.
For DEEP analysis, trace the fee-paying activity that follows—and where those fees go. Multiplying flash-loan volume by an assumed fee rate creates revenue that does not exist.

What's really holding BTC above $80K — spot demand or leverage?
Funding rates are positive across all five exchanges in this snapshot, with Kraken's 8-hour normalized rate roughly 7x Binance's.
But positive funding alone isn't bearish.
The real signal comes from combining funding, open interest, and spot buying pressure.
If OI rises while spot demand remains weak, the market becomes more vulnerable to a long squeeze.
If genuine spot buyers step in, the bullish case becomes stronger.
The question isn't just where BTC trades.
It's who's actually buying — and with what kind of capital.

🚨 BTC: ALL 5 EXCHANGES SHOW POSITIVE FUNDING — ARE LONGS PAYING TO HOLD THE LINE?
BTC was trading around $80,279, according to a XOOMAR snapshot at 23:22 UTC on October 25.
Funding rates, normalized to 8 hours:
• Binance: +0.0021%
• Bybit: +0.0060%
• OKX: +0.0079%
• Hyperliquid: +0.0029%
• Kraken: +0.0148%
📌 All five exchanges show positive funding, but Kraken’s rate is more than 7 times Binance’s.
This suggests perpetual futures positioning is tilted toward LONGs, although the cost of holding those positions varies significantly across exchanges.
#PriceTrap: If BTC fails to rise in line with increasingly high funding rates, LONGs could face growing costs to maintain their positions.
If price rises alongside genuine spot demand, positive funding is not necessarily a bearish signal.
A legendary cognac, spotted in Yokohama.
LOUIS XIII by Rémy Martin.
I'm usually drawn to whisky, but this one stopped me in my tracks.
Created in 1874, LOUIS XIII blends exceptional eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, shaped by generations of cellar masters.
Even the crystal decanter feels like a work of art.
A beautiful discovery at The Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu.
