Dynamic TAO:

Most recently, a market-driven mechanism designed to replace Bittensor’s current emission allocation model has been introduced through Dynamic TAO. The key mechanism introduced with Dynamic TAO is that each subnet functions as its own automated market marker (AMM), with two liquidity reserves, one containing TAO(τ)—the currency of the Bittensor network, and one containing a subnet-specific "dynamic" currency, referred to as that subnet's alpha (α) token.

A subnet’s economy consists of three pools of currency:
a.Tao Reserves: The amount of Tao that has been staked into the subnet
b.Alpha Reserves: The amount of alpha available for purchase.
c.Alpha outstanding: Amount of alpha held in the hotkeys of a subnet’s participants.

There is a hard cap of 21 million for any subnet’s alpha token, the same as for TAO. Alpha tokens (α) follow a halving schedule. Dynamic tokens (α) are non-fungible, they cannot be transferred, and they can only be unstaked into $TAO. Dynamic tokens (α) are emitted by the chain, with 50% of the supply being injected into the Pool and 50% used to incentivize miners/validators within subnet.
