spare me the “capital flight” boogeyman. If your tax policy is dictated by billionaires threatening to take their ball and go home, congratulations—you’ve just admitted who actually runs the government.
Black people reach a certain stature and it’s like they can’t see poor and working class people anymore. All cities need bus drivers, train operators, sanitation workers, nurses, servers, retail workers, barbers, hairdressers, mechanics, construction workers, electricians, plumbers, couriers, etc., and they should all be able to afford to live where they work. There are also people unable to work who still deserve to live well.
These kinds of accounts are the same people who want you to believe Black capitalism will free the race, when the only freedom they care about is their own uninhibited pleasure of the world.
I hate when people at work ask you what books you are reading for professional development. I am reading books to counteract the effects of being professionally developed. I am reading books that bring me back to being human.
Do not let bonnetgate distract you from the fact they got Mitch McConnell body in a cooler on 6 ice packs and they rolling him out every 9 business days to prop him up with shoe strings, duct tape and silly putty for a “proof of life” photoshoot!!
when i see Black ppl in public w/bonnets or durags on i literally don’t think anything of it. i don’t think anything of it because i’m not a dicksucking weirdo who can’t mind they own business.
“They should have special screenings that prohibit phone use in cinemas!”
We do. It’s called every single one of them, until you weirdos forgot or decided you were above that basic and very functional agreement
Like I want y’all to recognize THIS is why your favorite local businesses close. Their business can be just as good as it’s been for years but it just takes a landlord to say I’m doubling your rent for no reason and that’s that. Everything is wrong with capitalism
