"Becoming Dragon" is @crystaldbeasley's latest Kickstarter: it's a kind of divination deck she calls "a tool for clarity amidst uncertainty."

@crystalxduan@_djpn@steph_zunz Then upon that foundation, you can do relational practices. Most people think tantra starts at this level of the fractal and are disappointed because they don't "get" it. Tantra destroys the ego and does so more quickly than any other practice I'm aware of.
@crystalxduan@_djpn@steph_zunz LOVE this question. :D
I propose that the principles of tantra are fractal.
0 - relation to self
1 - relation to a single other being
2 - relation to small groups
3- relation to community/society/whole
4- relation to Gaia
5- relation to universe/void
@crystalxduan@_djpn@steph_zunz To practice tantra, you must first become embodied in your relationship to lifeforce (call that divinity, Source... whatever) in your own body. It's one thing to know mentally that the Beloved is within you. It's another to experience that knowing viscerally.
IDEA: Political dominatrixes.
Hear me out: we don't usually like to be scolded. Except for when we do. Imagine Greta Thunberg with a whip in her hand. Or Larry Lessig dangling a pair of handcuffs. Am I right?
@unicorn You can ask them to minimize interruptions in the evening to prioritize sleep. Otherwise, they come in every few hours to take blood pressure. Unless they have a compelling reason to do so, ask them to discontinue during the night.
@unicorn Nurses come into the room and just administer medication without stopping to ask if you even want or need it. The meds are ordered remotely by docs based on assumptions that they very frequently never check. The system is a horror.
@unicorn Run interference with the hospital staff so she can rest. When my appendix ruptured, I had to fight their standard protocols the whole way. They wanted to give me blood thinners, a catheter, opioids even though I wasn't in pain, and laxatives even though I wasn't constipated.
@SlowwCo@stewartbrand "Only the ephemeral lasts" is the raison d'etre of the oldest florist in Paris, Lachaume. Going since 1845 – they must've been onto something.

@OfficialBBrooks It seems like you see that certain people are enslaved and alone during the holiday season and feel protective over them. Is that true?
Love that you call out the centrality of our desires. They aren't from Satan, they point the way.
I wish to place my desires in an ornate gilt frame over the collective hearth so we can stand around and speak about them with equally hot reverence and cold objectivity.
Simply by becoming masterly at doing ever more with ever less, again and again, we live in a time of such potency we have to be careful about what we wish for.
Maybe considerations of long-term maintenance of the whole process can help us frame our desires astutely.
