I think it just started as the 100% normal "day after the feast" leftover sandwich, but now is being sold as a grab n go a month and a half before the feast even takes place. it is the most concerning culture shock i have faced since arriving

Imagine, overnight all of the iffy a la carte grab and go sandwiches at your grocery store have been replaced with turkey and brie and cranberry and stuffing sandwiches in festive christmas wrapping
