This is @C2Antiquity's response to @anglochog's thread on 20th century acceptance of Anglican orders across the Eastern communion.

What he himself neglects to tell you is that this "Pan-Orthodox synod" was a Soviet project to establish Moscow as the new head of Easternism, and was rejected by Constantinople, Jerusalem, Greece, and Cyprus, rendering it by definition not "Pan-Orthodox." And this doesn't even touch how the "conditional" reading is total cope in light of *explicit permission* of taking communion with Anglicans in exceptional circumstances, per the thread.
