@Eroditte2@LCKDylan @pedroctbus3 @Hashinshin Imagine being so naïve that you think you can just forgive a pedophile and his actions and call it a day. Let’s just forgive Bill Cosby while we’re at it.
@Alephinthesky@vegetaprinceof7@JisuArtist It would be easy if we could tell who's telling the truth and who's lying but unfortunately we can't do that, and lies will generate skeptics whether you like it or not.
@Alephinthesky@vegetaprinceof7@JisuArtist It's simple until someone's life gets ruined and then years later the accuser comes out and says it's a lie. The acts of ill-intended people absolutely takes power from the victim's voice--that may not be the way it should be, but that's the way it is.
@vegetaprinceof7@JisuArtist The community therefore has a responsibility to be truthful and allow those who need a voice to speak without the fear of being called a liar and criticized.
@vegetaprinceof7@JisuArtist Victims need to feel free to speak out, but the legitimacy of their claims will be undermined if people abuse the open ears for attention or targeting the innocent.
@JisuArtist False negatives like that make an already difficult situation even more difficult. Falsely accusing someone and ignoring the truth are both extremely damaging, so it makes it difficult to pick how big a grain of salt to take things with.
@JisuArtist I'm not saying that anyone you mentioned hasn't been truthful, but we've already seen in M2K's case that it can happen. M2K was forced to say something he's never wanted to share with anyone because someone made a false accusation.
@Zimvaderin366 @JacoobDray@CYHunter19@NairoMK What a nonsense argument. When you’re young there are developmental differences, not so much when you’re older. A 35 year-old can have sex with a 25 year-old. That doesn’t make it ok for a 21 year-old to have sex with an 11 year-old.
Going back to studying for medical school... This is probably a shock for those who know me well, but I wrote a disgustingly long medium post with my thoughts.
