@mysteriouskat Exactly. Further, he said that if a host is unprepared or not an expert, interviewing someone who's controversial in the field carries risk. The host can more easily be duped than an expert within the area. Given this, podcast hosts have a responsibility for who they invite.
@alexandrosM No, not really. He's saying you need a certain level of expertise in the subject area when interviewing controversial figures, otherwise you can get duped. Btw I thought everyone said Sam would fade into oblivion when he left Twitter. Whatever happened to that?
@ScottAdamsSays If this is true, and Hegseth made this calculation, why didn't he tell us instead of calling the messenger dishonest and more? And if the mere act of publishing something makes it declassified, then no one in power would ever be legally accountable. This is word thinking...
@donwinslow@BarackObama@JoeBiden They already said everything they could, and lost. I think it's smart of them not to speak for a while. Let people realize the consequences of their choice.
@mozzie4444@davidfrum@CaitlinPacific What's swift justice? Going to a torture prison camp in El Salvador with almost no chance of ever walking free??? All that without a trial? You're not being serious.
@DrMagnolias@davidfrum Deporting people thru due process is fine by me. But do we have the right to send them to a prison in a 3rd country with barely a chance of ever walking free again? I get that it sends a message for sure.
@kenaviba@davidfrum Perhaps... but sending them to a 3rd country with no chance of ever seeing daylight again is another thing, right? POWs get swapped all the time btw, and we have the Geneva conventions...
@PabloShicasso@ChrisDJackson It's a symbol of resistance showing his country was invaded. It's about symbolism not money (To be fair, I get that you might not understand this). Meanwhile, Donald Trump... the epitome of refined elegance...
@RichardMccrar20@EdKrassen@MrsJayVegas246 It's taxpayer money going towards making cutting-edge new weapons and getting immediate feedback based on how well they do. It helps propel R&D forward and make us even better. And it helps keep Europe safe which is a big market for us and culturally / militarily an ally.
@Nameless20z@EdKrassen@MrsJayVegas246 Don't we want new weapons? Don't we want someone to try them out in real-world scenarios to study how well they fare and then make even better weapons? This is a benefit to all Americans. IMHO many ppl just don't like the "complex" part about the "military industrial complex".
@TinfoilHelmet2@jg83uk @MartinezEd71212 @kajakallas So, Denmark gave a higher percent of its GDP, right? and the UK, Netherlands and Canada too. This is the point exactly. Our economy is so strong we gave more money but still don't feel it. Plus most of that went towards US jobs.
