1 in 7 babies require support from the Neonatal team. Staff at the L&D and Bedford Hospital are dedicated to providing specialist support to babies born prematurely, or who are born and become unwell, as well as providing support to their parents.

Maddison was born at Bedford Hospital in June 2003 at 31 weeks, weighing 2lb 2oz.

She is now 20 years old, healthy and a student midwife after being inspired by all the healthcare staff who took such amazing care of her.
