@DonpaulStephens@Noahpinion Austin already has multiple throughout town. Quite a few of the high rises and govt offices in downtown run on chilled water from a central Austin energy chiller plant.
@PatrickToulme How do you maintain this long term though?
A prompt + agent iterating on feedback created a blob of cryptic DSL. Can’t reproduce the same blob every time.
If a bug appears, the agent has to debug it? A human can’t really.
@Empty_America They are still building 1700 sqft 4/2s for 360K in the exurbs of Austin.
For Houston exurbs, sub 300K if you are willing to go west of Katy.
Brand new tract housing.
How they make money on that… no clue.
@bobbyfijan@growing_daniel Still printing brand new homes sub $200 sqft in the Austin “metro”. Wouldn’t be surprised if the outer edges of the Houston metro are sub $150 a sqft.
@StevenGlinert To be honest - by the late 90s most of the handset modem was done by TI and ST-Ericsson. Even TIs entire modem business line imploded by late 2000s.
Nokia’s basestation business is a different story though.
Even Apple eventually had to acquire what was Infineon’s modem.
@YIMBYLAND Someone tried to add an attached car port over the driveway and the city/covenant made them rip it out.
Even if zoning permitted it, your covenants likely prevent it. A neighbor could sue you.
