Columbus State Community College is Central Ohio’s front door to higher education. Live parking updates on the first two days of Autumn and Spring semesters.
Classes and other college operations resume as scheduled on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at all Columbus State locations. Please exercise caution and build in extra commute time while traveling - especially during the morning commute before 9 a.m. (And bundle up!)
Update: All classes and activities at all Columbus State locations are canceled on Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to ongoing weather conditions. All non-essential employees scheduled to work Monday and Tuesday should do so remotely.

Bundle up, it's COLD! And head to these overflow lots first so you don't waste time looking for a parking space:
Parking garage: 550 E. Spring St.
32-S lot behind the parking garage: 159 Jefferson Ave.
28-S lot: 248 Mt. Vernon Ave. (Three blocks behind the Bookstore.)
New week! Don't forget: These two overflow locations never fill up if you get to campus during peak times: The 32-S lot at 159 Jefferson Ave. behind the parking garage and the 28-S lot at 248 Mt. Vernon Ave. three blocks behind the Bookstore.
If you had classes earlier this week and also have a Friday class, you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to park today: There are far fewer class sections each Friday. That translates to less traffic congestion and more open parking spaces.
Do you usually park west of Cleveland Avenue? The two big lots just past the I-670 exit are currently full. Try for the lot on Mount Vernon diagonal to the bookstore, and if that's full, you can drive a couple of blocks further to the giant 28-S lot at 248 Mount Vernon Avenue.
Remember, these two overflow locations never fill up if you get to campus during peak times:
32-S lot at 159 Jefferson Ave.
28-S lot at 248 Mt. Vernon Ave. (3 blocks behind the Bookstore)
A second option when arriving during peak parking time for an 11 am or noon class: head to the 28-S lot. It is three blocks behind the Bookstore. (GPS address: 248 Mt. Vernon Ave.)
If you arrive for an 11 a.m. or noon class it will be peak time for parking. ONE option: Go straight to the 32-S lot directly behind the parking garage. (GPS address: 159 Jefferson Avenue.)
An early post this hour said there were THREE entrances to the parking garage. There are actually two: the main one on Washington Aveune and the one pictured here on Long Street. It's easy to miss the Long Street entrance!
The large 12-S lot across the street from the parking garage still has many spaces in the back. Enter from Spring Street. It will fill up by about 10 or 10:15 am.
Inner parking lots are filling up quickly. There are PLENTY of spaces in the parking garage, and in the large 12-S lot, across the street from the garage. Enter that lot from Spring Street.
