Kate Raphael's ('24) investigation into the confusion that often surrounds D.N.R.s, part of @UCBerkeleyIRP's "Aging in America" series, is a "Great Read" on today's @nytimes home page.
Just terrific, public interest reporting. Bravo.

Excellent coverage of the Key Bridge tragedy by @baltimoresun. It's difficult to write quickly, with lots of updates & feeds from many reporters - and make that story sing. This story was written with knowledge of and affection for the city. #localnews https://t.co/Ik9mx9tpNA
Instead of offering customer service #NFLShop tells you to contact them through social media, so here goes. Don't order electronic gift cards through @NFL .com because they might not send them (happened to me) and there is no way to report it or get your money back.
Sorry X world -- have no option than to try to reach #rollo printers here. Horrible customer service -- billed me twice but never put the order through. TBot provides generic email response. Why is there not a law requiring companies to have customer service phone numbers?
Anyone know how to reach a real person at #Xfinity or #Comcast? You can't get an agent on the phone, so you can't dispute anything. How do they get away with this? Why is the Pennsylvania AG's office not doing something about this? @XfinitySupport
Reporter @jeremiahorhodes ('24) and his 1A @sfchronicle story on long-term HIV survivors finding familial support in a unique S.F. group home. Part of @UCBerkeleyIRP's "Aging in America" series: https://t.co/O8UnLqHAE2. #proud@UCBerkeley
We need to think of the welfare of others and continuously cultivate a warm heart; to be of service to others is a practical and realistic way to lead our lives.

Great news for UC Berkeley, for journalism, for journalists and for communities -- State funds Berkeley Journalism $25 million to strengthen California’s local news coverage https://t.co/8tcIdSOVOa
Excellent piece: Private-equity firms own only 11% of facilities...But about 70% of the industry is now run for profit. "They all have the same operational approach, the same strategies for making money. It’s just that private equity tends to have higher expectations for profits”
Just over a year ago, I read a paper which showed that when private equity buys nursing homes, death rates go up 10%. I was a med student at Stanford, but I halted my studies to investigate. Today, that investigation was published in @NewYorker https://t.co/cQzbWggk46
Job op at Berkeley J-School: looking for a committed, experienced, self-directed professional to produce superb events serving the J-School donor community & public, & to implement an alumni relations program for Berkeley Journalism graduates. https://t.co/jhAdkNxc0j
