In 2016 I went with a group of young women to Band-e-Amir. We laughed with joy, we breathed in the lake’s beauty, we ran + played + enjoyed the outdoors, quietly shifting goal posts + claiming public space for women. Now the #Taliban have banned women from entering the nat’l park

The latest #Taliban ban, preventing women from accessing Band-e-Amir Nat'l Park, is outright nefarious. The justifications given, women not wearing their hijab properly + “Going sightseeing not a must for women,” are a sign of Taliban's utter disdain for women. #GenderApartheid
