you shouldn’t have to be drug free to access health care!

The last time I overdosed was in booth 5 in 2013 and I’m now in recovery and almost 13 years sober. That wouldn’t be possible without harm reduction and recovery working together!

The drug crisis has gotten better in the U.S. under the Biden-Harris administration. When Trump was president it got worse.

That’s (just one) reason I’m hoping hard for Kamala today! 🙌

Working on the front lines of the toxic drug crisis, trying desperately to save lives, it’s frustrating to watch Canadian politicians exploit and misrepresent the toxic drug crisis. But in the U.S., it’s completely batshit.

Donald Trump is lying when he says fentanyl is coming into the U.S. with migrants. Almost all imported drugs are smuggled in by American citizens. AND, newsflash, as a synthetic opioid, fentanyl can even be made in America 😮

In 2018, Trump criminalized all fentanyl-related substances. The subsequent seizures made the illicit drug supply even more dangerous, and over the four years that followed, deaths increased by over 50%!!!

Under Biden-Harris, there’s more focus on harm reduction, access to naloxone, methadone, drug testing, and in 2023, the number of deaths finally dropped for the first time in 5 years.

American friends, when you go out to vote today, vote to keep that trend going in the right direction!
