Sure, I'll put personal details about myself on Twitter. What could possibly go wrong? **Achievement unlocked** was impersonated by an unskilled troll.
@CollinYourbs @AZCEBVus@DougDucey@AZHouseGOP@AZSenateGOP Yes, Landowner may increase $160 instead if $100 to "make up for" the tax. But w/o the tax it stays at $160 in your budget and not $190 or whatever. Not about a decrease; about stemming the flood of costs at least a bit.
@CollinYourbs @AZCEBVus@DougDucey@AZHouseGOP@AZSenateGOP We don't need to wait. It's simple. Landlord extorts outrageous rental increase (every year, inevitable). With tax = increase + $30-60 W/o tax = Increase that would've happened anyway. But at least there's no tax. That little but matters when saving for a new first/last/deposit.
@AZBethLewis@MatthewGress@DollarGeneral I'm with you on the dignity issue here but if had been lucid enough to ask for permission he'd've been under the influence, so would have even been valid?
@AZBethLewis@MatthewGress@DollarGeneral Also, it wasn't a "Vote for me" post; it was drawing attention to the wider question and asking important questions about how to find long-term solutions to an increasingly intractable societal issue.
AZ's public schools rank 48th in the nation for funding. Rather than honor her constitutional obligation to support them, west Valley state Sen. Janae Shamp gave away $10 million of our tax dollars to make rich private schools richer. #ItsAGrift#StopVoucherExpansion
@Wadsack4Arizona @srm_az A โrepublicโ is a form of government in which people elect (in the U.S. via _indirect democracy_) representatives to exercise that power. So over this ignorance masquerading as ideology.
This week House Democrats protested by voting no on all bills after Republicans moved the goalposts for our bills to get a floor vote โ now requiring 16 Republican signatures on a sheet to get a vote. @lauraforAZ talks about that โdeeply un-Democraticโ experience on her HB2075.
@Eifffler@Callanite@LaikenJordahl@MDomino07 Apologies, I let the internet get the better of me an stooped to a level I'm not proud of; another reason not to engage or partake in online debates. Please know I'm deeply ashamed of my snark (not sarcastic; I should know not everyone is a native English speaker).
@Eifffler@Callanite@LaikenJordahl@MDomino07 Maybe if you watched less TV and read more books you'd know you meant to say "what shall they look at." I for one am not taking policy advice from someone who can't even use prepositions porperly.
A brief PSA:
You don't have to like that Arizona will take about a week to finish counting the early vote drop offs.
It is a function of statute. So next week, please think before suggesting on here it is due to incompetence or fraud.
It is neither.
@grantbotma You want your kid to go to private school? Great. Pay for it yourself is all I'm saying. Because very few public schools right now have all the SpED teachers & IAs they need - ask them what $7k could do for a kid. One who NEEDS it, and would use an ESA as actually intended.
@grantbotma It's cognitive dissonance at best. And the fact that most voucher recipients were already enrolled in private school and is the upper 15 percent of per capita income is all the more galling and horrifying. How greedy and selfish can you possibly be?
