Pleased to host my Central Asian counterparts in Brussels today for our High-Level Political and Security Dialogue. Useful discussions on our deepening partnership, regional cooperation and shared security challenges 🇪🇺🇰🇿🇰🇬🇹🇯🇹🇲🇺🇿
Ethiopia is a valued partner for the European Union and one of Africa’s most influential countries.
It was good to meet with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister @AbiyAhmedAli and Foreign Minister @GHessebon in Addis Ababa today.
We discussed the region's most pressing security challenges, including the devastating war in Sudan, Al-Shabaab's terrorist threat in Somalia, Iran's attacks on its neighbours. We also talked about Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and its repercussions beyond Europe.
Stronger EU-Ethiopia ties are in our shared interest.
Our relation delivers.
And we are committed to more cooperation, more business opportunities, more investments.
After the 🇪🇺🇹🇷 High-Level Economic Dialogue in Istanbul, good to meet with @omerbolatTR and catch up on common concerns to our industries.
We reaffirmed the importance of Türkiye as an EU trade and investment partner, particularly in the current geopolitical context.
Enlargement is one of Europe's greatest success stories and we're writing its next chapter with four Intergovernmental Conferences taking place on the same day.
Today we will open new accession clusters for 🇺🇦 and 🇲🇩 and close several chapters in the negotiations of 🇲🇪 and 🇦🇱.
The momentum on EU enlargement is stronger than it has been in years.
The process is moving forward, driven by reforms and commitment. We must seize this opportunity.
Every step forward brings us closer to a more united, resilient and prosperous Europe.
On France’s National Day, we send our best wishes on behalf of the Hungarian people to our French friends and partners. Thank you for the invitation!
Joyeux 14 Juillet! 🇫🇷

Good call with @antonioguterres.
We can sense a renewed momentum to solve the Cyprus issue within the @UN framework and in line with the principles, values and legislation of the EU.
The opportunity should be seized. We look forward to progress over the months to come.
The Commission stands ready to support this effort with all the necessary assistance and tools at its disposal. Tomorrow we will designate our special representative for Cyprus in anticipation of an intensification of our engagement.

My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the tragic wildfires in Almería, Andalusia.
Extreme weather and devastating wildfires are impacting millions of people across Europe.
As these events place enormous strain on emergency services and healthcare systems, the European Union will continue to stand with Member States by strengthening prevention and preparedness, investing in resilience and ensuring that our collective response to climate-related disasters is swift, coordinated and effective.
I am deeply grateful to the emergency teams working tirelessly on firefighting and rescue operations, and to the Member States demonstrating European solidarity by supporting one another in responding to these emergencies, in particular through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
We remember the victims and survivors of the Srebrenica genocide.
We honour their memory and reflect on the lasting impact of these atrocities on families and communities.
The UK supports a single, inclusive, sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Thank you, @Antonio_Tajani, for your warm hospitality and the productive discussions.
Hungary and Italy share deep historical, cultural, and economic ties. Today in #Rome on the margin of the meeting of the 'Friends of the Western Balkans' group, we agreed to deepen our cooperation in the economy, energy, defence, education, and culture, while advancing work on the Port of Trieste, European competitiveness, and the EU integration of the Western Balkans.
Looking forward to continuing our dialogue in Budapest this autumn. 🇭🇺🇮🇹

The billions in EU funding will finally arrive. We promised, and we delivered.
Hungary’s EU Recovery and Resilience Plan has just received the unanimous approval of EU finance ministers. This removes the final obstacle to unlocking up to €10 billion in EU funds.
Many did not believe it could be done. Many thought it was impossible. Fidesz tried to obstruct it, while we worked tirelessly for three months and delivered.
The billions in EU funding are finally on their way and will go exactly where they belong: to the Hungarian people, by directly supporting transportation infrastructure, energy security, healthcare, water management, and local businesses.
Long live a European Hungary!
It was a pleasure to meet Serbian Foreign Minister @markodjuric in person for the first time in Rome. 🇷🇸
We discussed the Hungarian community in Vojvodina and the Serbian community in Hungary, Hungary’s support for opening Serbia’s third EU negotiating cluster, and concrete steps to advance North–South transport and energy links.
I look forward to working together and continuing our close cooperation against illegal migration.
On 28 May, I submitted Hungary's formal request to join the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Today, the European Commission confirmed our accession, making Hungary the 25th member state.
In Ankara, #NATO Allies reaffirmed their ironclad commitment to collective defence under article 5

Thank you, President @RTErdogan, for the warm welcome to Ankara.
The EU and Türkiye are strategic partners, and we are committed to strengthening our relationship.
In a more challenging world, our partnership matters more than ever.
Türkiye has been an important partner in addressing the crises in the Middle East and supporting efforts for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
We must also seize the renewed momentum to advance a settlement of the Cyprus issue through the UN-led process.
This #NATOsummit in Ankara has shown that #NATO stands united and stronger than ever
We are rebalancing our security for the better, that is what NATO 3.0 is all about: an Alliance that continues to adapt and continues to deliver to keep 1bn people safe
