Move Over, or Slow Down, it’s the law. When a service or emergency vehicles has emergency lights activated, move to the next available lane if possible, or slow down. Only a thin line separates your vehicle from them. That could be the difference between life and death.

Move over and slow down for emergency vehicles!
One of our WHP Troopers nearly got hit by a commercial semi-tractor and trailer recently. The near miss occurred near Rawlins, Wyoming, on Interstate 80.
Please slow down, and move over for emergency vehicles.
Per our @WYHighwayPatrol:
Recovery is underway for a semi that crashed over a bridge in Elk Mtn. at MM 262 I80 WB. Due to the extreme weather & poor road conditions, I80 will be closed while our crews & emergency responders rescue stranded motorists & those that have crashed.
From the NWS - it appears NECO will have gusting winds in the mid 40 mph range. High profile vehicles such as empty semi trailers, RV’s, camper trailers, moving trucks etc may need to park until the wind event is over. Drivers are required to maintain control of their vehicle!

This CMV was stopped for a lane violation in Glenwood Canyon. During the inspection it was identified that two hoses were chafed to the extent that they had developed air leaks. The vehicle was placed out of service.
CSP is losing Troopers through resignations and retirements. Fewer Troopers equals more dangerous driving behaviors; statistics prove it. In 2022, Colorado had 745 traffic fatalities. The most since 1981. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end there. #ISupportCSP https://t.co/G81GYT4AF3
Let's bring the fanny pack back! Recently there has been an increase in suspects breaking windows to steal valuables from cars parked at horse parks, dog parks, and open space trails throughout @douglascountyco. Keep your valuables at home or with you as you enjoy the outdoors.
