Atlast someone asked him tough questions.
J : My vehicle mileage has dropped
G: Don't check it youself. Get it checked from a dealer
J: what do I do if I still see an issue?
G: Go to consumer court
In summary, E20 price won't come down because ethanol price is same as Petrol price, plus it takes a lot of water, plus it reduces the mileage, plus it increases the maintenance cost for non compliant vehicles, plus it helps certain politicians and their family to earn money, plus main opposition doesn't talk about it as much as as they should, plus despite so many issues Party in power keeps winning different elections.
#WATCH | Bhubaneswar, Odisha | Petroleum Dealers Association President Sasanka Sekhar Sahu says, "We are urging the government to reconsider the introduction of E20 fuel... Dealers are facing significant difficulties with the current E20 rollout. While the blend is capped at 10% in most countries worldwide, India has implemented a 20% blend. Consequently, the vehicles currently available in India are not fully compatible with this fuel. BS6 vehicles in India were not originally designed to handle this specific blend. This leads to issues like clogged carburettors and other mechanical failures. Customers then come to the petrol pumps and create a ruckus, even though the pump owners have no control over the situation. The government introduced the fuel, and we simply sell it. These problems, which were non-existent before, have only surfaced since the introduction of E20..."
Hardeep Puri said that ethanol is used in racing cars as well to defend his stand on E20. This is the Petroleum Minister's understanding of the issue. What can one even say to that!
First, race cars are specifically engineered to run on ethanol; therefore, it does not harm them. This is not the same as forcing E20 into regular cars that are not engineered to handle it. In non-compliant vehicles, ethanol will aggressively degrade standard rubber gaskets, plastic parts, and aluminum components over time.
Second, a racing engine is built to survive for only a few hundred miles before being stripped down and rebuilt by professional mechanics, who easily manage any fuel-induced wear. An average citizen, however, needs their car to last for over a decade. Running non-compliant engines on E20 will certainly not help achieve that.
Third, race teams use ethanol solely for a performance boost due to its high octane rating, not for fuel economy. For regular people, however, fuel economy matters immensely.
5 public discourses that might hurt BJP & Modi, unless they handle them well.
1) Ram Mandir donation (nothing to do with the govt).
2) Cockroach (related to a Judge's statement).
3) NEET (govt responsible).
4) UGC (govt partially responsible).
5) Ethanol (people unhappy).
Indian Crude Oil basket at $ 74.34 on 23rd June.
Time to cut petrol, diesel prices .
Dont let OMCs make huge profits , give relief to the common user via petrol and diesel price cuts.
The entire population pays for higher diesel prices via higher transportation costs for all items including food.
Time to pass on the benefit to the economy.
@Tejasvi_Surya@krishnabgowda Where were you during bjp government sir ?? Now you guys are doing all drama.
What happend to bus lane on ORR ? How many crores you guys spent on it
🚨 Crude Down, Petrol Same — Who Is Pocketing the Difference?
2 weeks ago:
🛢 Brent Crude: $95
⛽ E20 Petrol: ₹102–₹115
⛽ Pure Petrol: ₹160–₹188
Today:
🛢 Brent Crude: $78 (-18%)
⛽ E20 Petrol: ₹102–₹115
⛽ Pure Petrol: ₹160–₹188
So crude prices crashed, but petrol prices didn't move an inch. The math simply isn't adding up, @HardeepSPuri ji.
And the bigger irony? Nearly 8 out of 10 vehicles in India are still not E20 compliant, yet people are paying premium prices for fuel that many engines were never designed for.
If global oil prices rise, petrol becomes expensive overnight.
When oil prices fall, consumers are told to keep waiting.
Why is every benefit delayed, but every burden immediate?
Refreshing to see Global Crude Oil prices sitting again at $75 from $125 (per barrel) during war times.
Ideally, Petrol should be priced what it was before the hike and same for the LPG gas now.
Second, the panic & madness to blend more ethanol should be over too when supply chain is fixed.
