The definition of Accountant under the new Income Tax Bill should include Company Secretaries (CS) & Cost Accountants (CMA) for tax audits, We are equally qualified & capable of handling tax audits, ensuring compliance & transparency. If not, CAs should be removed from certifying forms under the Companies Act, as MCA matters fall within the domain of CS.
