@RexNhongo2 @ronmortgageguy People forget this…it’s not just personal debt. Lots of mega corporations fed off of cheap debt for years and are now sitting on piles of it with little actual liquidity. Worse still for some sectors coming out of the pandemic. Disney had to take out loans to keep the lights on

@ronmortgageguy I’ve commented on your political comments before about PP v Liberals. Maybe full circle, at this point almost completely out of the govt’s control but 6%, 7%,8% fixed rates next election cycle….that may be the CPCs golden ticket falling in their laps.

It’s a big ask to have more seats than the liberals and NDP combined next cycle though, and the further the CP strays from center the harder it will be

Last election they had a more centrist leader that battled far right elements of the party and paid the price now they have a further right leader that most of Canada probably won’t vote for.

Metro Van and the GTA are where most immigrants want to go, the prairies have “bad” weather. Metro and GTA are both snug against the border and other geographic barriers.

@funnypitics2021 @ronmortgageguy @BenRabidoux It’s still nothing like the US. It’s confined to a minute amount of land along the border with horrendous weather in the middle. Supply vs. demand will always have a different scale here, doesn’t mean it won’t decrease but it’s still very different

@Ralston727 @steve385b @WarrensHedge @ronmortgageguy I can agree with you on that. The problem for the Con party is tackling that issue while not appearing to be dogmatic social conservatives. Trump has probably done more harm than good as center votes look south and say “I want no part of that”

@WarrensHedge @Ralston727 @ronmortgageguy To be fair I said the party not the leader. O’Toole was centerish but publicly battled far right elements of the party. Lots of swing votes and center votes avoided the party because of its very public identity crisis.

The Cons lost their chance by refusing to be a moderate center right party he may win a minority but will be defeated by a coalition

@Ralston727 @ronmortgageguy This is quite the opposite of what I have seen, a good deal of gen z and younger millennials see PP as an intolerant far right winger. As of now even with a Con govt higher in the polls the combined center to center left in 🇨🇦 is still high 50s to 33%
