How to ride transit in Chicago. A 🧵
1. Mask up. It’s both better for your health and just practical. Right now it’s winter and it’s cold so it keeps you warm. It also helps mute the transit smells. You’ll thank me later.
I want to take the United States from car required to car optional. Living car free shouldn't be an impediment to obtaining and keeping a job, having access to fresh food or simply enjoying time with loved ones.

“We’ll see” - not coming
“I’ll let you know” - not coming
“Hmm not sure yet” - very sure about not coming
“I’ll see if we can make it work” - it will not and not coming
“I’ll think about it” - nothing to think about and not coming
@balupuppy@slucy And…CDOT is an obstacle in and of itself. The amount of people any project or initiative must go thru slows any semblance of progress and the when hardly anyone can make a decision in a timeline manner without checking up the chain of command it makes it even harder.
@312fietser If cafe patachou on the park is still there I highly recommend it for brunch. Honestly one of the best bloody Mary’s I’ve had. Mass Ave is a lot of fun. And if you have time check out the IMA. I think the grounds are still free? City market is awesome for lunch too!
Uhhhh I may have accidentally picked a spot along the boulevard to picnic where there’s a crows nest… all my bird-loving friends…should I be concerned? Do I need to move? :/ #birds
Annnd the fact the storyline is that they’re in river north and are worried about gentrification. Did anyone consult an actual Chicagoan for this show? Lol
