Didn’t expect to fire off every @Orioles thought in my brain but here goes:

“We don’t need a bullpen we have Trevor Rogers” was possibly the most hilarious stance this front office took this offseason and it played out exactly the way people who watch a lot of baseball thought it would in real time tonight.

The people running the Orioles organization are the most vicious snake oil salesmen you and I have ever done business with. They don’t deserve our time or money.

While you’re directing your energy at the brand new manager who clearly has been programmed by a computer chip his employer has indirectly inserted in his ass, the front office is dodging any and all blame for putting together another club we all pretty much knew wasn’t good enough.

The vet players haven’t been the same since 2023, when the leaders decided to punt a few prospects over for Jack Flaherty and call it their deadline splash for a 100 win team in am effort to preserve whatever the future is that we’re now living in. They made the same excuse to us and the players in 2022 when they were on the cusp.

Now a 2027 lockout is looming. The Os have won zero playoff games and another year will pass where we will all continue to provide profit to the PE group that owns this god forsaken franchise.

That’s right, the same group who nuked your season ticket prices, nerfed your Birdland benefits, took state funding for a fucking scoreboard and sound system and has been holding the rest of our $600m hostage without telling us what they plan to do with it.

Oh yeah and they used some of it to turn more profit for themselves with a Truist club thing while they cry poor to the players in CBA negotiations. They’ve given less than a fuck about us and we continue to love the team anyway. And that’s what they have over you and I. Emotion.

If you were born after 1983 you owe this team absolutely nothing. They’ve provided zero joy to you in many more years than a fan ever really deserves. While I know I’ll still watch because it’s etched into my DNA, I will continue to remind myself it’s run by a group of soulless business people who don’t know what it’s like to feel anything but a dollar bill.
