Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson filed a 22-page declaration last night discussing the ongoing lawsuit and the pending motions from Joe Gibbs Racing.
Some notable items:
*Dickerson saying that JGR "staged" this litigation instead of competing on the track.
*His response to learning a private investigator followed him and Chris Gabehart to Barcelona in Mooresville.
*Dickerson said Spire doesn't need or want information from JGR. It already works with the winningest NASCAR team, Hendrick Motorsports.
*Dickerson said that Spire and JGR had a Trade Agreement in which he took away car chief Robert Smith's non-compete so he could join JGR. Said that JGR's side was to either pay Spire $100k or allow Spire to pursue an employee of its choosing. Dickerson said JGR has not upheld this Trade Agreement.

Judge rules that Chris Gabehart can continue working for Spire Motorsports, but cannot perform any duties at Spire that he was doing as JGR's competition director -- basically, no overlap. Spire and Gabehart state that this decision has no impact as his role as Spire’s chief motorsports officer is different than that of a competitor director.

The developer of Notepad++ has confirmed that a targeted attack by a likely Chinese state-sponsored threat actor compromised the project's former shared hosting infrastructure between June and December 2025.

The breach allowed attackers to intercept and selectively redirect update traffic to malicious servers, exploiting a weakness in how the software validated update packages before the release of version 8.8.9.

The compromise occurred at the infrastructure level rather than through a vulnerability in the Notepad++ codebase itself. The attackers gained access to the shared hosting server, allowing them to intercept requests destined for notepad-plus-plus[.]org.
