@arianek Thank you for bringing this up. My wife is exhausted from being poked and prodded at this stage, but we’re determined to get to the bottom of this. I genuinely appreciate input like yours.

@arianek Neurology has a long history, but most transformative diagnostic advances—MRI, CT, modern electrophysiology, genetics, immunology, have emerged in the last ~40 years. Earlier classifications, including functional labels, were often made amid substantial uncertainty.
@arianek Yes, there must be some kind of trigger, e.g. we cannot diagnose someone with a broken leg with pain and just send them home without actually looking at the fracture
@arianek It’s quite a rabbit hole. The CNS is incredibly complex, and many disorders tend to mimic one another. Similar to what you’re describing, the pupil in her left eye sometimes fails to constrict, while the other eye remains normal.
@arianek The strangest part (minus all the symptoms) is that the initial onset of her condition presented in her vestibular system, photosensitivity, hyperacusis, with her ear on the left hand side constantly red on the inside, but no infections present
@arianek The WBC spikes generally coincided with gastroenterological events, during which her abdomen would swell to the point that she appeared approximately seven months pregnant, the last spike was around kidney stones that were removed
