🩷 Family Has Tried to Negotiate w/Tucson Prosecutor to No Avail🩷:

• Agreed to have Snuggles neutered.

• Already reinforced and raised gates on the 3-acre property.

• Offered to keep Snuggles confined to the property.

• Offered to refrain from taking him into public settings.

• Offered to work with a licensed professional trainer.

• Even offered for Snuggles to be re-homed to a sanctuary outside the district to save his life

🆘 Conditions of Confinement- This is DIRE 🆘:

- Snuggles has spent roughly eight months confined in a cement kennel.

- He receives little to no meaningful enrichment.

- He is not taken on walks.

- He is forced to eat, sleep, and relieve himself in the same confined space

- Family has had to pay $17, 000 in boarding fees, without any updates from staff on his condition since last year.

📝 Key facts 📝:

- Snuggles was approximately a one year old puppy when the incident occurred.

- The bite occurred on the family's private 3-acre property.

- The injured party (the dog's grandmother/owner's family member) has consistently stated that she provoked the dog before the bite.

- Grandma has repeatedly stated that she does NOT consider herself a victim and wants Snuggles returned home.

- She did not intend to initiate a dangerous dog proceeding and was unaware that seeking medical treatment would result in the bite being reported to Pima Animal Care Center (PACC).

- After the report, PACC confiscated Snuggles and has held him for approximately EIGHT months.

- This was Snuggles first bite incident, and he's been sentenced to death despite it occurring on private party and with no reporting victims.

In the heart of Mississippi, 24-year-old Emily Hirtle is doing what many would call impossible.

In just ONE year, she has rescued 1,400 cats and dogs from overcrowded kill shelters — giving them a second chance at life. 🐶🐱

Every week, Emily drives more than 280 miles, sometimes multiple times, transporting animals from shelters with little hope… to places where adoption is possible.

But it’s not easy.

Many shelters lack internet access.
Some don’t have proper records on the animals.
Rescue groups often have no space left.

Still — she keeps going.

Her mission supports the goal of Best Friends Animal Society, which aims to end the killing of cats and dogs in shelters by 2025. And thanks to people like Emily, that goal feels closer than ever.
