@TheCinesthetic That there were no consequences for Cercei doing this was a sign that the spectacle was all that mattered to D&D when they ran out of books and gave no care to the living world that the earlier seasons established.
@BlameItOnRyen Late to the party in an oversaturated genre that doesn't appeal to me and I'm supposed to buy it in the hopes I get another Destiny? No. Poor decisions are the load-bearing 7th column of the company.
@KazutoKiri4@KinaMagica Thank you. Wasn't fishing for it, I just I get a little pleasure from hitting the chuds with my service as a straight white guy when they pull this crap.
@KazutoKiri4@KinaMagica It's a real struggle, I'm fortunate enough to have friends willing to help me, but I've come close to being right there with them a few times.
Had more to say about a Greek cooking class than anything else. The oversimplified history I gave her of the stuff in her pictures was met with the equivalent of a dial tone after I finished talking about the architecture alone.
Tired of my mom always "meaning to call me" even when it's important. Last year it was 3 months after the fact, after I called her, that she told me my grandma, that raised me as much as her, had a stroke and was in assisted living. Now it was 2 months after my uncle died.
It was the most unappreciative, surface-level stuff possible. The Florence Cathedral? "Very pretty and lots of steps" and so on. Didn't make time for the Pantheon, no love for the history of anything. Exasperating being the only one in my family that tries to stay in touch.
I can't help but wonder if I should've just thrown my hardhat at the pallet and quit instead. Between him and the forklift guy singing happy birthday as he delivered yet another leaking pallet, I was too pissed off and in pain to pace myself and tried to power through it.
Hurt my back at work. Moving boxes from 1 pallet to another due to leaking boxes. Each box has 5 gallons of shelf-stable dairy product. 5 gallons of dairy is about 43lbs, they are arranged in a grid of 8 per layer, each pallet has 5 layers, done 7 times, for about 12k lbs moved.
I was giving my back a break by switching to cleaning the spilled product on the floor, but a senior QA guy on the working party relieved me to do it himself, saying to blame *his* back for why he's going to do it instead. 20 min later I tweaked it from the constant strain.
