Congratulations @SpaceX and @elonmusk on Starship 12! That was awesome. It's inspiring to know we're raising our kids into a second space age. I have been telling my 8YO he will be able to go to the moon for his honeymoon! ๐
That shot from POTC: At World's End where Cutler Beckett is walking down the stairs to Endeavour's main deck while the ship explodes around him is some of the most iconic imagery of our generation. Its value, not just as a piece of film history but as a meme template, is virtually incalculable.

How many times did us radical right wing gun nuts try to shoot President Obama or President Biden? This is getting ridiculous. This is America. STOP TRYING TO ASSASSINATE THE PRESIDENT.
One thing is for sure after this war... the U.S. president and armed forces have sharp teeth, and balls of steel. And the whole world now knows it. ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ๐บ๐ธ
How have I not seen anyone doing the Marty Mcfly "Hey I've seen this one before" meme on the news articles about Germany announcing it wants to build up the largest army in Europe?
I can't believe @CallofDuty actually called somebody a chode in a commercial on an NFL broadcast. Stunning and brave! The world will never be the same!
I'm not saying the show is perfect... far from it. But the neckbeards need to find something legit to complain about. This is no different than the @LOTRonPrimetv haters saying Galadriel was never a headstrong quick tempered warrior. Try actually reading the stories.
Why do people freak out about @schreiber_pablo taking his helmet off in the @Halo TV series? He's not Din Djarin. I'm a huge lore nerd... I literally edit @Halopedia and nowhere in the narrative does it imply that Master Chief or any other Spartans don't take their helmets off.
In all other media Spartans including John-117 regularly take off their Mjolnir armor, although it is a bit cumbersome to get on and off so they don't do it on a whim. Their helmets though, are just helmets, and it's common to see Spartans walking around without them.
It's just a pragmatic choice by the game designers because it was originally a fully first-person game and they wanted player to personally identify with Master Chief, the obvious protagonist and player-character, as was common in games at the time. ๐คท
I'm not gonna pretend I keep up with the @WNBA (other than Dildo-gate) but I do love the ride-or-die loyalty @sophaller appears to have for @CaitlinClark22. You don't see that type of partnership develop in the spotlight IRL very often.
@GeraldoRivera lol Geraldo I am inspired by your deep understanding of Halo lore and how clearly it maps onto this real life situation. Have you shared your theory with the FBI?
