@allovertheform This is a fact.. we won a country TAB race with Ahalf in 2016 won $11,200. Now, 2026, first Pmoney for country TAB, $13,950!!!!!
And how much has training costs etc. etc. gone up??? And Racing NSW is buying assets for $20 + million, with our money, and leasing to Ciaron Mahar!
@RacingPedigrees@bmracingclub I have also stopped breeding. costs have escalated, agist, transport, vets, training fees etc. & prizemoney, although increased for the 'pop up' and feature races in Metro areas, if you are lucky enough to win a race at a TAB country meeting, you end up with $12,225!!
@RNSWStewards 'Irrigation malfunction' new racing terminology!! Why wasn't the meeting transferred to a nearby track?? There are plenty of them. All these horses who will now miss out on a run.
@kimwaugh6@beermitchell Owners need trainers, trainers need owners, we need punters, and we ALL need (and love) horses ❤️ what we don't need is the divisiveness that went on in parliament today!! Oh..and we need Rosehill racecourse!!
@DJSRacing6@R1CHARDFREEDMAN I agree with you David, re Country Cups, however, this is not the metro trainers fault. Racing NSW puts the conditions on the race, can't blame trainers for taking advantage of races on offer! It is a shame that some local horses with a chance in the race, don't get a chance
@RacingAust @glennmunsieTAB Incredibly annoying for country trainers/owners, pushed from Muswellbrook today, and now this.
Prov/metro horses have at least weekly trials in their own areas. Incredibly difficult for country trainers to trial their horses, with most trials being held after racedays.
