🐒❤️ A tired proboscis monkey was spotted struggling to cross a river in Sarawak, Malaysia.
Then something unexpected happened.
Two fishermen noticed the exhausted primate swimming in the current and carefully brought their boat alongside it. The monkey climbed aboard, sat down like a regular passenger, and enjoyed a free ride across the river. 🚤😂
At one point, the impatient monkey even jumped off too early, only to climb back on and continue the journey. The fishermen eventually guided it safely to shore. The heartwarming video quickly went viral and earned praise across social media.
What makes the story even more fascinating is that proboscis monkeys are excellent swimmers and are known to cross rivers in Borneo, but river crossings can still be risky because of currents and predators such as crocodiles.
The internet's favorite comment:
"Bro missed his stop, got back on the boat, and still didn't pay the fare." 😂
Sometimes the best wildlife stories aren't about survival of the fittest.
They're about a monkey catching a ride home and a couple of humans choosing kindness. 🥹🐒❤️

I’m starting to understand why people protect their evenings so much. After spending all day being available to everyone, it's nice to have a few hours that belong only to you.

“Sempurna… I am so sorry.
I’m so sorry that humans have failed you.
We failed to protect your forest. We failed to protect the air you breathed. And when you needed us most, we couldn’t save you. I’m sorry that we couldn’t do more for you.
I will not forget your last drop of tears. I hope that, somehow, you can forgive us. And that your death will not be in vain.
Rest in peace, Sempurna. Your suffering is over now. 😭❤️”
Nangis banget malem2
Sampurna the orangutan has died.
He collapsed on a palm-oil plantation in West Kalimantan province, Indonesia—his lungs destroyed by the smoke of his burning forest.
The video is there for us all to see.
People devoid of ihsan should never be allowed to hold any position of power. This should be the baseline - or bare minimum requirement to join the civil service.
Public service should put compassion & common sense above all.
Malaysians, a word of advice: If you want to keep control of your country, kick this guy out ASAP. He wrote a whole book about how he wants to take over your land & start his own country. He's only been there 2 years & is already threatening Malaysia. This is only the beginning.
