@3catturds @swamthetiber25 Yes because the good works you do are only able through christ. Paul says that is what we are for 2 verses later. He also says believers have been saved, are being saved, and will be saved. Sounds like a process.

@rockreborn22 @swamthetiber25 @LizzieMarbach What did i add? Eph 2 says we have faith I'm christ as he abolished the law. It never says they're arent other types of works. Vs 10 specifically says we are created fpr good works, so those must be different than the law.

@GryphiusEitel @lukei4655 There are other parts of salvation though. You must be baptized (Mk 16), you must eat of Christs flesh (Jn 6), your faith must have works (Jm 2). These works are not works of the law but works of love. As Paul said he could have faith to mve mountains but without love its nothing

Both Catholic and Orthodox believe that is a piece of salvation. You cannot be justified without being saved. So her saying we are justified by faith would be we are saved by faith.
