@VTConfidential @GovNedLamont @SusanForCT @RepTKlarides @SenatorFasano @JoeAresimowicz For a small state, so much is disjointed when it comes to message, methods, and strategy. A lack of uniform vision (including the rhetorical heavy weaponry and very thick skin needed to make it happen) is a real issue here.

There's a great report by @placeeconomics on how the state historic tax credit worked out beautifully for Louisiana. Definitely something Connecticut could stand to benefit from:

Julie Carmelich @SHPOConnecticut speaks of the benefits of listing on the state and national historic registers including the state historic tax credit program. Grants are available through SHPO. Downtown Torrington is a National Register Historic District. #torringtonnow

Wow. This is an exciting sort of statement from @HartfordSuper - Urie Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory is pretty obscure but super interesting - more for anyone who wants to dig:

As an ecological systems thinker/leader, I feel energized by the intentional partnerships. Our shared coherence will positively influence the success of our change efforts on behalf of our students. #ProudSuper

With talk of rebranding Connecticut (yes please), we think that positioning Connecticut as The Maker State creates a cohesive vision linking our history and our future; optimistic but still realistic; appealing & inclusive.

Exactly how education and employers should be working together.

Would be great to see this kind of effort reach down into high schools and even up into executive education - but this is fantastic any way you look at it
